Finally done selling internal organs to buy the Piero Umiliani dead stock LPs that have popped up on the scene (well, done until the next volume of "Lost and Found" are released). I couldn't get them all, but really happy with the selection I plunked down for.

Not soundtrack per se, but I am digging these A LOT.

@jmctodo - Beauties! Where did you score individual copies? I had to pass on the third box set, but I didn't realize there was a way to cherry pick titles.

@Mateo Sanboval

Black Sweat Records had some extras from the sets, not sure what he has left (I posted about it in the '$$$ Insanity' thread a couple weeks back, sorry if you missed it!). Drop him a line, he's super nice and helpful (and confirmed vols 4 and 5 are forthcoming at some point!).

Cherry picking was def the way for me. I love Umiliani's more out there, darker stuff and I am not a huge fan of exotica or period music type tunes (at least not at these price points :)

Got this Morricone lot from our local CD Trader. The owner is a friend of mine, so he saved them for me. Each one for the crazy sum of $2.99, plus you get one free when you buy 5! "Bird..." alone usually goes for $70/$80 on Discogs...

Today's find at a local store:

I remember nothing of the music of Neverending Story except the theme, and the other 3 soundtracks I have never heard. as soon as I'm done replugging my sound system ( I reorganised my whole room ) I'm going to give these a spin and discover.

"The NeverEnding Story" is one of my all time favorite films! I probably saw it 50 times during my childhood alone...

I also emailed black sweat records a couple of weeks ago and found these two beauties waiting for me on return from my holiday, along with the awesome cannibal ferox tape and sick bag.

Picked up 'Filth' on vinyl today but I haven't had a listen yet. Anybody here listened and thought it was good/bad?

Sorry for the stock image, but I don't want to go through the bother of taking a photo.

In all honesty Purplemule? I wouldn't go through the bother of listening to the record either!

;)

No just being glib sorry - but this one wasn't for me, gave it a couple spins and then passed it onto my neice who's nutty about Macavoy for some weird reason/has started record collecting :P

@Discosucks -

Dang! That will teach me for trying something on a whim!

I haven't listened to it yet, but since I learned of your passion for Idaho Transfer and pantless time travel I trust your opinion explicitly.

I'll give it a listen still, but with deflated expectations.

My favourite Argento film, bought from a seller on Discogs this morn...

Plus these:

Incidentally, I watched EYES OF LAURA MARS last night and really enjoyed it. Brilliant performance by Faye Dunaway.

@Purplemule47 - Have to agree with Disco, I moaned about this record some moons ago. I think its by far his worst. Still, I'm not giving up on Mansell - he's done some superb work and I have tickets for him live in October when he's doing some of his scores live at the Barbican. PM, get yourself a copy of his OST Last Night instead; its superb!
