I got the Umberto's too, many people complain about the level lowering on his last works but this is top. I love the movie too and all the craziness, Spanish classic Fantaterror (with English cast), saw when I was 10

@layneharvey

No, I got the black version direct from OWS... funnily enough the delivery note with it said 'black vinyl' and true enough it was. How did they know? ;)

Seen plenty of the coloured variants on this site though and would have been nice to get one, but them's the breaks. Sure it will sound just fine

Wonder if OWS just had the black and you had to order direct to get the blood in the water?

@spunoutofcontrol @layne I got a heavy shipment from OWS today including Surf Nazis and it was a blood/water variant.

I apologise in advance if these photos are upside down.

@chuck

Did your delivery note also state 'black vinyl' ...? Just curious now to how random it was, not that it greatly matters!! :)

And nice haul! The Mangiati Vivi has been receiving a few plays at Spun Towers.

Also have The Great Alligator, though it may have been the artwork that swayed me there as the LP is quite kitsch sounding.

@chuck it was randomly inserted (unless we give specific instructions) ... but not by us. By the shippers.
There is a box with black and a box with color, the shippers just pick from a box and then mark black or colorvinyl on the delivery note, depending on what box they took from.

It's a lotery basically ;-)

@onewaystatic @spunoutofcontrol I can't say I noticed whether it said black or colour. I was giddy like a kid at Xmas!

I was busy spinning today, but the kids go back to school tomorrow so I'll be introducing our two year old to Donati, Cipriani and Lilles! I'll post pics, I promise.

Thought I'd share some new releases and recent finds with the board.

Sex Fever (Pr1vate Records) - went for the pink vinyl but ended up with black. Much better than I thought it would be. Having enjoyed everything Jay has released so far, this was a no-brainer when the release notification email arrived. It came with a vibrator. This label name is Vagienna with cat # VAG-01 which makes me giggle.

Breakheart Pass -- Jerry Goldsmith soundtrack to a 1975 Charles Bronson movie. This is a Japanese (probably bootleg) label called Poo Records which also makes me giggle.

L'Antichristo -- Ennio Morricone & Bruno Nicolai. This is a great example of what makes soundtracks fascinating as a musical medium. What would the antichrist sound like? Morricone/Nicolai paint their picture using wild, brooding and at times beautiful violins. Finding this for 20 cents in a bulk 45 bin was a lot of fun!

The Raid 2 - Joseph Trapanese - This is Spacelab9's recent release which received a treatment similar to Breaking Bad minus the printed inner sleeves. The score is driving and often intense with a balance of electronic and orchestral components. Though the release didn't generate much fanfare you should snag a copy! This variant, Crimson Rain, is limited to 165 units and still in stock on Spacelab9's web store.

Witchboard theme 7" -- I love the theme but didn't care for the second track Bump In The Night.

One Way Static's newest release, a re-score to Phantom of the Opera by The Laze, turned out great. Splatter is the way to go- the white/black splatter on clear really pops and looks awesome. Still need to use the access code to watch the movie synced with the new score.

Chopping Mall has been posted a few times. Love the glossy finish on the cover. It's a terrific synth soundtrack!

Speaking of terrific synth soundtracks, Surf Nazis Must Die is a must-buy. Very impressive first release from Strange Disc!

Seems like my recent orders are now arriving at once. Got this little beauty in the post today.

Would have bought from DW direct, but ordering from the States and also getting the DVD was just a pound or so different to ordering the UK vinyl only version (albeit didn't get the red smoke variant).

Once again a quality package from all concerned (DW + JagJaguar) - and love the dayglo orange lettering on the jacket sticker!

Any of you noticed this alternate release for the Watch_Dogs soundtrack ? I've got my Invada version pre-ordered on amazon, but I was also tempted to buy this edition, as it was very cheap and I find the cover art appealing. Will post more photos later today, with some details on the differences with this release.
