Spiritman,

Concorde Affaire '79 was one of my favorite (re)releases last year. Totally underrated and spent weeks at a time on our player.

Totally agree, very nice release from Vombis. I wonder if they're doing any more releases or if the Concorde Affaire is it.

@ layneharvey
I just listened to my copy of I Speak Machine and I had no jumping on Side A and no problems on side B. Sound quality for me was really good. And it is an absolute terrific album.

My Spasmo (also Mouth Edition) is fine!

I will balance a can of Special Brew on Side A when playing to straighten it out. Actually, additional weights are seeming to help. What do you think to the score? Enjoying its quirkiness with random twangs and scraping strings... will definitely be tracking down the movie at some stage

I absolutely love it - it's my new favourite, for this week at least!!

I've also been experimenting with a weight which certainly helps with dishing - won't do anything about an edge warp of course. It's about 300g which isn't too heavy.

i received DUKE OF BURGUNDY from mondo yesterday and there was pretty significant seam split on top - like, all the way through to the record. i haven't opened it yet. would you guys normally contact mondo for a replacement in this scenario? i feel bad about doing that because i just contacted them a few days ago about a major warp in my MANIAC COP 2, which they are replacing.

@DrRhythm - i have not seen it yet, but i watched the trailer and it looks pretty great, and the sound clips i listened to for the score sound fantastic.

My Spasmo is to arrive tomorrow, really excited to give it a spin.

Spasmo the movie is a fantastic giallo. The region 1 shriek show DVD is out of print and tends to go for $30-50 second hand.

However, Scorpion Releasing is set to release Spasmo on bluray in July.

My Spasmo (mouth boob edition) sounds fine. Also, that Nora Orlandi soundtrack is extremely good!

I don't send seam splits back unless I asked the vendor to remove the disc from the jacket and they didn't.

My Duke of Burgundy is also split, I bought it direct from the label/release store page. I think it's because the disc is thin and sharp at the edge.

@Ptflea2 @texasvinyl - Concorde Affaire is by far a favorite for me too - and the Vombis release is damn plentiful. I haven't seen any other moves from them either, at least so far.

But the Stelvio serendipity continues. Randomly found this locally, the man himself masquerading as one "Steve Powder"..
