I was at the Fabio Frizzi concert last night in Seattle, and he mentioned that he would be doing a new recording of THE BEYOND in January. Great concert! Picked up some goodies (including the SHARK ROSSO NELL'OCEANO vinyl/CD and the Barbican Bootleg & Undead in Austin CDs) from the table manned by Daniele de Gemini of Beat Records. Had a nice chat with him too, including his dad Franco's harmonica work on Morricone's ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST score.

@blue15 - Glad you were able to catch the Seattle show. I felt the new "2016" version of the F2F show was excellent, and even better than last year. Reminds me I need to post some photos and info from the Portland event. Daniele is such a great guy as well. He has so many good stories to tell.

@Bez - those Spettro LP's are looking lovely. I'm not sure I could afford to pick any up right now though with MondoCon on the horizon.

^^^ These do look amazing...

Having picked up the Easy Tempo issue of La Morte Accarezza... and the Dagored version of Giornata Nera Per L'Ariete on vinyl this past year, managed to avoid myself pressing the button on these lavish looking re-issues.

Couldn't, however, resist ordering the Nicolai ;)

These Spettro releases are very nice. Great quality.

^Wow, I have not seen that before either. @Jimmy_Mike - I use imgur.com for photos.

One of these beauties arrived today from a friend:

The photo does not do the mirror board sleeve justice.

The silhouette of The Tall Man on the reverse, and even the inner gatefold artwork all have mirror highlights:

The vinyl is a glossy silver/gray and sounds excellent! (room lights reflecting in the image a bit, it's not splatter color)

Check out this thread for some image posting tips: http://www.spintheblackestcircles.com/b ... 97&t=76795

I do recommend using imgur. Post the large thumbnail link from imgur in your post. Would love to see your pictures in a higher resolution as I cannot see what records they are.
Spine looks really cool though. Never seen anything like it.

Also, Morricone had a spine I've never seen before. Each corner is pinched:

Sorry for tiny pics, I'm still having a lot of trouble posting images on here.
if you mess arround with French library you see this spine very often. almost all Sonimage, Telemusic, PSI and L'Illustration Musicale for example, have this kind of spine, at least the earlier ones...

you can see some of my Telemusic here. the lower ones are on the right hand side...

The reason I cannot buy a lot more this month... An impulse buy. I only wanted Ciak, si muore but couldn't resist the rest.
Got a reasonable deal however the state of some was a little bit less than expected. Oh well. Let's see how they all sound.

edit - spinning all the 45's one after another. Great music :-)
The B-side of Francesco De Masi - Le Strade Di Roma is fantastic. Can't find a clip on youtube. Will make one and post it.

And then here is this great sleeve :-)

^^^ Nice pick ups!

Haven't done a scores on the stairs' shot for a while...

Five of these are from a digging session at Crocodisc in Paris (they had 12 crates worth of film scores on vinyl - which was absolute heaven - each crate packed so tight you had to practically wriggle each sleeve upwards to see what it was - which slowed down the browsing process considerably)... the other - Sun Choke - was bought online.

Check out Crocodisc if you are ever in Paris.

There's at least one hip hop vocal track on disc two. I haven't listened to the first disc in a minute so I forgot if there are any others. I think it's a great score though, miles better than Daredevil and Jessica Jones which mostly seem compelling for the artwork.

Scored some good ish at lunch today!

The Les Baxter 'African Blue' is really nice lounge/bossa stuff with scat vocal, definitely worth picking up if you should find a copy.

Larry Saunders is the guy that did the 'Free Angela' soundtrack (great Secret Stash reissue by the way!), Killer funky soul, and he had a great voice. I put a clip on my Instagram today (@texasvinyl). Definitely the find of the day and got it for a song.

Jack McDuff, less common one on Prestige, mostly an organ groover, but there is one really nice softer track "Dink's Dream" that is my favorite cut from the LP.

Black Mass 'Lucifer' is probably Mort Garson's best record though it doesn't get as much attention as the others.

Lorry Load is a DeWolfe library with some nice funky cuts played by Spinning Wheel.

And of course the Carpenter OG, nice minty copy!

What is the record front row on the left? I know it, but can't remember who or what.

It's the Record Store Day release of Cliff Martinez's Only God Forgives on limited etched vinyl - 300 copies on the Gaumont label.

I picked up the Gaumont Neon Demon so felt I had to grab this as well. Still sealed. Think I paid 18 Euro.

Seems like copies aren't that hard to track down:
