@disco, Not to take away from Mr. Shore's Fly score but I think Mr Young's score for Fly 2 is so much better and Humanoids is a nice early Horner.

nice finds!

To answer the question posed about this LP after I dropped my Deep Cut 20, it's a belter. Took a chance after listening to a track on YTube...it's not a funk monster like my DCR, this one's a beautifully crafted suspense/horror(?) score very much along the lines of Wojciech Kilar, with orchestra, harp, harpsichord, electronics, the works. I'm in love with it right now.

3mins 30 in you can hear some tracks - but dammit, everything in this video is gold.

@disco, cool to see that you took my question as a starting point for such thorough research ;) Hope to be able to purchase soon as well but with a trip to Japan on the horizon, funds are ever so limited. Totally with you on that video, breaks galore! Would never have guessed from some of the covers.

Some new stuff! ;)

A very nice (german?) bootleg:

La Chiesa (AMS reissue):

Waxwork did a wonderful job!

and the last one it's an italian album of 1977 which features some of the most popular Star Wars tunes done by an "electric moog orchestra", quite interesting :)

@max - The US version of the Star Wars moog album was the first vinyl I ever bought at a very young age.

@disco: you better prepare yourself for the shakedown. Chainsaw Hookers is one of the best "new" things i heard in a while...

Nice haul, I had this week. BTILC is amazing, I'm so ashamed it took me this long to get my hands on it. Listening to Pork Chop Express makes my body move in random spastic motions that I cant seem to help.

Starry Eyes is the subscriber variant, and it looks really sweet. Haven't giving it a spin yet so I can't attest to the sound quality, but a friend said his copy sounded legit.

Kill List came banged up, but Rook is sending me replacement jacket and inner sleeve. Despite the record being only 23 minuets long, its already one of my favorite releases so far. Nothing this year has topped "Girl Walks Home Alone At Night" IMO.

I'll give Bronson, Critters, and BeetleJuice a listen over the weekend since I am already familiar with those soundtracks.

I also acquired these two exquisite Mondo prints. I had my eye on Elm Street for a while now and it did not disappoint, the blue really pops in person.

Love those posters, Cult.

My copy of Kill List arrived with slits on all three sides of the inner sleeve (the same thing happened with an album I bought via PledgeMusic), would it be worth contacting Rook to get a replacement sleeve?

Yeah, they sent me out replacements. Didn't even ask for an order number, just my address. Hassle free

The FKs are tempting me... ;)

@max - of the three, if funds are limited, The Holy Mountain is an absolutely essential record. Beautifully produced, great (and very extensive) liner notes, and yes @Cult, it's a gatefold sleeve. The El Topo is remastered, so I had to have it too but if you have the original Apple lp you probably don't necessarily NEED it....I've yet to delve into Dance of Reality, looking forward to it a lot.

@Cult -- just the Holy Mountain is gatefold/double LP sir.

Galactic nightmare appears to be sold out at trunk already? hopefully turns up on online retailers soon
By DISCOSUCKS...

@monster - Mr Trunk always gives newsletter peeps a first stab at new LPs, before they go up in the store/out to retail. Pretty sure the "sold out" on the site just means it's not hit the store/retail yet. Would imagine we'll probably see it appearing next week.

Sound like an amaaazing record too!

Thanks @tim28212 & @static14

I'm really happy with all of them, and I have a soft spot for both Chris Young releases, I gave them both a spin and they're fantastic !
