Haven't done a scores on the stairs' shot for a while...

Five of these are from a digging session at Crocodisc in Paris (they had 12 crates worth of film scores on vinyl - which was absolute heaven - each crate packed so tight you had to practically wriggle each sleeve upwards to see what it was - which slowed down the browsing process considerably)... the other - Sun Choke - was bought online.

Check out Crocodisc if you are ever in Paris.

What is the record front row on the left? I know it, but can't remember who or what.
Only God Forgives.

Yesterday was 50% off day at Half Price Books! Naturally I drove around to four different stores... Wound up with a 1970 Sussex pressing of Cold Fact, an original copy Illadelph, the No Code Pearl Jam reissue and an original of Sounds from the Thievery Hi-Fi. They had a copy of the Lolita soundtrack, but I passed on it.

The reissue just came out recently and was mastered specifically for vinyl. I don't think the original was. It sounds really nice. They replicated the 8-panel jacket and the Polaroid lyrics cards. Worth picking up, I've seen it priced as low as $20.

Some Four Flies reissues I've been after.

This is a score by a couple of indie dudes from Texas for a little known show about the 80s. I know most folks don't go in for this kind of thing, but check it out if you've got some spare time. Pretty decent.

@bezulsqy,

That terrorvision mixtape has me very excited for the next sub.
Brain Damage, Basket Case, 555, Igor and the lunatics, two thousand maniacs all have my attention.

Killing spree and ghosthouse are great also.

On a very trivial side note the brain damage track on that mixtape sounds more than coincidently similar to the track 'disintergration of time' by 1991

Nice stack, Zuko. Sometimes I get as much joy out of a haul like that as I do with attaining a "grail." Perhaps it's nostalgia. Perhaps it's discovering new music. Or just reacquainting myself with old. Or maybe I just like dragging home a heavy sack full of rough diamonds. Anyhow, here's some stuff I got from that one place:

Nice ones, BPW. I think I may like the retail packaging for Dead Ringers a bit better than the online variant. Either way, that's a really good score. Also, I couldn't agree more with you about Angel Heart. It's a killer.

Definitely all of the above! There were a few stalls there with dedicated 'soundtrack' sections, but most of the gold came from digging through the jumble of 3-for-£5 bins etc.

We have had a lot of bad weather in the UK last couple of days, Angel Heart sounds great with with the rain coming down on my loft roof.

The thing you posted above with the simple black and white line-drawn cover looks interesting…

@ Dollarhyde
Yes, Terror Vision is fantastic. Already paid for my sub renewal. Loved the mixtape!

@ Zuka
Very nice selection. Love that Blue Thunder! Can't remember the score, but loved that movie as a kid.

@ Mateo
I have three of those four releases. (Not the white one, which is?). Absurd is one of my favorite scores. Absolutely brilliant!

@bpwlogan
Good to see that Larva tape! Mateo of course got copy 69/69...

Enjoy all!

The white release in question is Boreal Network's Itasca Road Trip. Illuminated Paths released this and another album of theirs, Aviation Weather, on cassette a year or two back. More Than Human just released it on wax a few months ago. They often get described as having a Boards Of Canada (a top five band for me) vibe which I can certainly hear, but that's painting with too broad a brush; they have their own unique sound. Well worth checking out at either label's Bandcamp pages. Pretty sure all three physical releases can still be had.

Here's my haul from 2HD this week.
Thanks for picking up The Tapes, @bpl - much appreciated, hope you enjoy!

@Mateo-gotta agree with you on the retail edition of Dead Ringers. The black vinyl is dead quiet. Hopefully, Mondo will release a retail version of Maniac in the near future.

@Bezulsqy-the Larva tapes is one of the coolest items that I've ever picked up.

@ScoJo-thanks for all the hard work and the personal touch on the release of the Larva tapes.

It's been a while but here's 4 recent pick-ups (the benefit and downside to working at a record store ;) ).

Nice haul, XGEEKEDGERX. Chinatown is one of my all-time favorites. Shame they couldn't find their way to expanding it for vinyl; there is a lot of remastered extra music to choose from. How is Barry's Walkabout on Roundtable? It's been at least fifteen years since I've seen that film. Roundtable also released the score to The Last Wave by Charles Wain. I'll probably pick that one up.

Nice pickups.
How is that Veruschka? I have never seen the movie nor heard the score. I believe I read somewhere that the score isn't that great... Do love the artwork of the various releases and will add a copy to my collection at one point.

Didn't get involved in Black Friday this year, but ended up having a Super Saturday at the Independent Label Market in London

Nothing better than buying direct from the labels or artists across a trestle table - and got Jonny Trunk & Frances (The Hardy Tree) Castle of Claypipe to sign their respective 'product'

Also picked up a library record on Jonny's advice (pictured) which he assured I would dig if I was into the Italian stuff. Yet to spin it, so we shall see!

Discovered a cool little label in wiaiwya.com, also, who are doing the 'Bond covers' project on Bandcamp.

I think that is Christmas to myself well and truly sorted.
