I am checking this out.... I really love 7"s and this type of label. I want to buy all their releases... Tomorrow I'll have a listen to see if I really want to spend some.
What do you mean by the 'bond covers' project? Link?

If you like 7" you should also check out the Too Pure Singles Club: http://toopure.com/

Hey chaps

@ScoJo - The tin houses a CD by act called 'World of Fox' - it's essentially folksy covers of 80s poptastic tunes... Say Hello, Wave Goodbye, The First Picture of You, Don't Talk to Me About Love etc...that sort of thing.

Must admit I was attracted by A: the fact that it was in a PIL-like metal tin, and secondly the artwork in a pastoral style. Link to listen/buy:

@Bezulsqy Link to the same label's James Bond theme cover versions project:

Apparently they are looking for someone to cover Radiohead's Spectre if any of you musical types on the board are up for it! :)

I know the Too Pure singles club - they have been running that since the early 1990s I think (?) - have picked up singles by PJ Harvey, Stereolab and Paul Draper (ex Mansun) in the intervening period.

Shame they couldn't find their way to expanding it for vinyl; there is a lot of remastered extra music to choose from. How is Barry's Walkabout on Roundtable? It's been at least fifteen years since I've seen that film. Roundtable also released the score to The Last Wave by Charles Wain. I'll probably pick that one up.
Walkabout sounds fantastic, a lovely pressing and super quiet! I really love the film, it's one of those that really leaves a lasting impression so I had to jump on this when it came in.

How is that Veruschka? I have never seen the movie nor heard the score. I believe I read somewhere that the score isn't that great... Do love the artwork of the various releases and will add a copy to my collection at one point.
I've not had a chance to give it a full spin yet but so far I like it. Haven't seen the film either but I really like Morricone so it was another one of those 'grab it while it's there and catch up on the movie afterwards'. I will say that it's a really quiet pressing considered it's coloured vinyl.

For anyone interested, managed to find a Discogs page for that library record recommended by Jonny Trunk & picked up at the London Indie Label Market (shown in my previous picture).

This is the one (from 1975):
https://www.discogs.com/Various-Activit ... se/1553528

From the Discogs blurb:
Laurent Voulzy originaly wrote those music themes for 70's pornographics movies :
"Maîtresses de vacances" (Pierre Unia) & "Le Pied !" (Pierre Unia).

(!)

Seeing as I paid lower than the lowest price on Discogs I potentially got a good deal... first side labelled Activity/Travel is cheesy / breezy tracks... the second side 'Dramatic' is a bit more my cup of tea... could imagine more these soundtracking a police procedural or giallo...

But now I realise there was another 'activity' Monsieur Voulzy had in mind when he penned these!!

Hi @million

It was at the Indie Label Market in London last week... first time I had been along, but a lovely convivial atmosphere.

(see previous page in this thread for pics of spoils...)

Wasn't expecting Mr Trunk in person but seeing as he appears to be basically 'Mr Library records' couldn't pass up asking him for a recommendation. Am enjoying leafing through his (pricey) book too - the 10-inch record that came with it has that very cool track Survivor by Klaus Weiss.

The market is a bit like an arts and crafts stalls kind of affair, but selling vinyl and tapes rather than cushions and rugs etc. :)

It's held several times a year and I believe the idea has spread to several other countries:
