Finally taking a few hours to listen to some records, and felt compelled to publicly exclaim my complete LOVE of The Perfume of the Lady in Black RSD LP. I’ve never seen the film or heard the music before this morning, and the LP has sent me on a wonderful, emotional, and beautiful trip within the confines of my own mind. The other releases this year are all worthy as well, but this one in particular seems to hit me in all the right places. I particularly love the consistency of the theme throughout – while at the same time driving itself way off course and returning back again.
@4000days – Agree with this 4000%

Sod RSD, just have a Death Waltz Store Day if it's always going to be this good - the Fidenco soundtrack is fantastic.

Perfume is beautiful isn't it?

Funny story when i asked to release that I was referring to the 7" that originally came out back in the day, imagine my surprise when they sent me the full score, I was jumping for joy as it never got a release before and couldn't believe it had just sat there for all these years without a full release.
Epic.

Has anyone gone with the back to black subscription along with the deluxe subscription?

That is wild. Have you ever had that happen with another release? Or been made aware of a score's existence while searching for/trying to acquire something else?

I'm sitting here having just invested my Saturday morning in spinning all 4 death waltz RSD records in a row and I continue to be gobsmacked. Bronx warriors and perfume... are just incredible, I thought emmanuelle was great the first time and it's growing on me and funnily enough the mansell one which I thought was a banker is my least favorite, it's not bad by any means but not as good as his best.

My one grumble is the mangled poster in my Bronx warriors. Carlos isn't holding out much hope of getting a replacement :(

Hey Ben,

I will put my Bronx poster in with your upcoming package sir - I'm not really bothered by the posters/extras in the DW stuff, hence I'll be a back-to-blacker when that time comes with the label releases :) I'm finding the 12"x12"s useful of course, having inserted them in the shrink to double as sleeve art - can't say I'm very fond of the super-giant-logo design on those lps (can it get any bigger??), nor the lack of spine info (apart, again, from the label details!) but I'm hoping/assuming this is just an RSD thang.

So never fear! Poster on it's way to you asap old bean....

I'm really enjoying the two lps I went in for (Bronx and Perfume), both absolutely corking and the sound QT is superb :)

Disco, you are a star!

Sometimes I wish I wasn't as OCD about this stuff but then my collection wouldn't be as good. And I need everything to be in good shape for when my dissolute living catches up with me and my wife has to sell it all :(

I'd recommend Reckless, that's where I got my orange/green split copy of Escape From NY.

Reely - Let me know if you can't find one - A couple of stores here in San Diego had some DWs left this week...I'm not positive on which ones and I'd be happy to check for you - The price is either $27.99 or $32.99...of course I'll check the $27.99 store first - Leave me an email at hncreature(at)yahoo(dot)com if you'd like me to check into it

I'm rationing my RSD releases, haven't listened to Perfume yet, but span Bronx 3 times in a row. That soundtrack is just infectious and sticks in my head.

I'm a subber who left it a little too long to resubscribe :-(

Even though there's 5 subscriptions left on the site, when I try to buy I keep getting the message: "Sorry, we do not have enough "Death Waltz Deluxe Subscription vol 4" in stock to fulfil your order right now. Please try again in 10 minutes or edit your basket and try again. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."

Has it sold out??

@icy, I will have a spare copy of Emanuelle available as soon as my package comes in from LITA. It was the only one I was able to get locally on RSD so buying the 4 pack from LITA gives me an extra. I will be happy to sell it to you for what I paid $25 + s&h. I am hoping they arrive this week. Let me know if you are interested my email is tim28212 at gmail dot com.

Scored an absolute bargain today - all four RSD Death Waltz releases for £13 each - Sounds of the Universe in London not only has cheaper prices than most shops, but all its RSD is 20% off!

The girl working there told me the boss ordered too much and they were desperate to get rid of it, as most of the releases aren't the type of music people normally visiting their shop would buy.

You can get the stuff online as well. They had about 4 copies of In The Wall, 2 of Bronz, 4 of Il Profuma. The other one has sold out.
