I passed on that and now I'm regretting it!! I'm waiting to hear back from my local shop.

The RSD releases are all superb. I don't think I can pick a favourite yet- different sounds for different moods. What I am sure about is the overwhelming urge I have to siphon yet more of my wages into the DW coffers in exchange for a T-shirt featuring The Bronx Warriors artwork.

Please make this happen before I go completely Frank Zito!
That Emanuelle soundtrack is SO good! Favourite of the DWRSDs I’ve listened to so far but Bronx Warriors still to go….
OK - Bronx Warriors might just top it!!!

@Kissoffboardy

As soon as I saw the artwork I said to my partner 'I would f'n love this on a t-shirt'. I'd go for one as well. Maybe even two.

I swear Bronx Warriors sounds like a better version of the Zombi soundtrack at some moments.

EDIT: Ok, not the whole album. Bronx Warriors btw -- maybe my favorite DW release in a long time -- I am totally into this. I feel dirty and smokey just listening to it.

philball1974: That's not a DWR title? (and it's still available several places).

Ah, I just realized they're selling it on DWR... That's interesting, I don't think they've ever done that before. But that's very cool. I thought maybe Spencer wasn't too happy with that label because of the Fabio Frizzi release which DWR will apparently also be releasing.

And it's a cool score. It's funny, because it actually sounds more like a 70s cop movie score than a horror/cannibal score, I think.

These Private Records releases are not hand numbered as they say they are. At least not the first 2 I've received from them.

Bub: Are you sure? I have two copies of the Frizzi and one of "Eaten Alive", and they are all numbered. The numbers are a little hard to see, though. They are on the back cover on the lower right side on the image.

Ah I'll take a closer look later on than. Sounds like I may have just overlooked it. Thanks Rasmus!

Anyone know what's going on with Slumber Party Massacre?

DW site says it was "released 28/04/14"

Then says "ON SALE TUESDAY MAY 1ST RANDOM TIME"

Thursday?

Anyone?

From what I can ascertain...there was a delay originally via DW, perhaps a tech issue on the release day itself...so the date was put forward. If the May 1st date is correct...then it looks like it'll be anytime tomorrow and at a random time!

It got delayed. Juno record shop website have it down as being released in 2 days' time.

Question re: Back to Black sub. Has anyone whose already bought this received a discount code for other DW items. Wasn't sure if that just applied to the more expensive sub?

Also - I'm sure I read somewhere you get the mp3's - is this true?

Finally - anyone had any feedback as to whether the Back to Black sub gets you pre-sale access, as per previous subs to special one-off items like the Fog - or indeed the RSD stuff?

Thanks.
Just stumbled upon this – pics from the Death Waltz Fog screening / LP launch last June. Wish they’d put on more of these events, as this one was great.

That Fog event looked like the nuts tbh...I'd like to see more of this type of thing too, perhaps something for the forthcoming Twin Peaks release...something like that would be awesome and imo...very popular!

I went to the Fog event. On one hand there was A LOT of waiting around, as film didn't start for about 2 hours after we all got in. But seeing the original artwork for the Fog was amazing, so too the film in that great venue.

I've only seen about 10% of the films that DW has issued soundtracks for - so would welcome seeing all the releases on the big screen at events like the the Fog one.

I missed Eaten Alive earlier today stuck at work in the Pacific timezone! Does anyone know of a stateside distributor for Priv4te records?

Double post. I've noticed a rise in these lately. Ghost in the machine?

Mateo you can get it from the label directly. Comes out to about $40 including shipping. If I recall correctly, it was 22 GBP on the DW which roughly is $38 before shipping.

@Bub - Thanks, man. I emailed them to see what's what.

Maybe this has been mentioned before, but Priv4te Records just put out a version of City of The Living Dead ahead of the Death Waltz version. I'm guessing the music won't be any different between the two, just artwork?
