LITA now has the CHRISTMAS EVIL satin pearl white and the retail version of SN,DN up. shoot. i knew that would happen. should i cancel my DW order and preorder from LITA? i know they are both different editions (no deluxe, no glitter), but i would save about $45, which would be very welcome this close to the holidays.... anybody have experience with canceling orders from DW? do i just email them through the site?

Hauled ass downstairs in my underwear this morning (a la Christmas, folks), and managed to cart Christmas Evil before SN,DN had even been added to LitA. Of course, I assumed SN,DN had sold out, but it popped up, and I got my precious records ordered. I wasn't too concerned with securing the limited colorway of SN, DN, and am just relieved I got any copy of Christmas Evil, though a sparkling pink 10" is so far up my alley that I will likely be forced to buy one later.

For what it's worth, US folks, it looks like you can order both these records from Norman Records for a couple bucks cheaper (including shipping) than LITA.

@lift, i already contacted DW about canceling my order. i'll have to see what happens when they reply back. i imagine a lot of folks are in my boat, where we are in the US, impulse bought both of them, then LITA put them up. i would definitely keep an eye on DWs site, as i bet they will pop back up for sale here and there as people cancel their orders.

Are people carting items and then stepping out to secure financing? I've never understood why this happens with every release. If you're going to buy it, buy it; it's not a real shopping cart, and having something in it means nothing.

I just sent Spencer a note as well to cancel my order. So hopefully mine will pop up in the shop as well.

As for people holding records, that is a total dick move. I agree on pulling the trigger. What are they doing, applying for a loan?

I waited until Jimmy Chambers was also in stock so I could get Halloween III and it in the same order. Now Halloween III is out of stock.

Sigh. Can't win for losing.

(Yeah, I know that I can get the non-Death Waltz store version still, but it will always look lesser to me)

Spencer sure didn't cancel my order a while back when I asked him to.

Ordering both releases from LITA would be $62. Ordering both releases from DW to the USA was $69 for me with the discount code, plus you get a free mix CD. Seems like a no brainer for me. And the chance at a free test pressing? Sure beats the $100 Mondo test pressings!

I'm in the U.S. and I orederd from Death Waltz this morning in a panic because they were low quantity and there was no sign of them on LITA. It ended up costing quite a bit for shipping but the variant colors, the CD, and the hopes of getting a test pressing made it seem totally worth it. I just hope they make it all the way here in time to enjoy before Christmas.

Does any one know if the Prince Of Darkness or the They Live Re-issues in the shop are the splatter or not? I'm not sure. I didn't think about ordering them when I ordered SNDN and Christmas Evil this morning. If it's the splatter I was going to see if I could add one or both to my order since I'm paying the shipping already.
