Been waiting for it...Hopefully Anthropophagus will also get a release. Anyone know of a limited vinyl release in japan under Grim reaper...I have looked for years with no luck.

There is a cam library by daniele patucchi that features music from 'metralleta stein' and 'sharks and men' amongst other films. Anyway some of the music on that record is truly mind melting.

English translation of lp title is 'violent dramatic' its a killer.

Predictions on what we will see released in June? I think we're headed for an Italian summer...

Hi.

Maybe it has been spoken of quite a few times already but I just wanted to know if any other European like me find it harder and harder to get DW releases at a 'correct' price?

I always found them for 20, 25 max at record stores (just grabbed a mint Escape from NY for 20) but since the Mondo merge the prices are getting crazy in stores and online.

Every new release I've seen in stores was priced 36.99€ (Hollywood chainsaw Hookers, Killer Nun, a girl... etc). I've been to every record store in Brussels and I couldn't find a copy for less than that.

Did I miss something? I tried Shipping records, HHV and Transmission of course but the price is also the same with shipping if not higher. Does anyone have any hints for me? Honestly paying more than 30 for a single record is just too much for me...

@ByK

Try Norman Records! They have decent shipping rates and carry most new soundtrack releases out there. Right now they have 10 % off select soundtrack titles.

Shipping rates are quite nice indeed but I'm afraid ordering Absurd would still cost me 40e... But maybe it's just our bloody currency who's to blame haha. 30 gbp --> 40 eur at the moment. Unfortunately I can't afford keeping up with all those new releases.

Man thats excellent news Spencer, CA soundtrack has some killer bass and guitar work. Title track is a particular favourite of mine. Would love to read Mr Radice's thoughts on the sleeve notes.

Are DW still doing art-prints with any of their variants, or did MONDO merger kill that off?
I was looking at the double-sided Zombi 2 print from sub 1 earlier, and it occurred to me how amazing that thing looks. Would love it if prints and posters were still made available going forward, but perhaps that is wishful thinking?

Deleting this message as there's another thread devoted to what I'd brought up.

Sorry if this was already mentioned, but just got my ticket for Fantastic Fest/ mondo con, and wanted to know if there would be any special Death Waltz events to register, I'm still sad about missing out on the Tx Chainsaw event.

I don't think any events have been listed, but it's a safe bet that there will be something vinyl related. Someone hinted at Blanck Mass, who knows.

What I can say having gone last year is you need to follow the MondoCon twitter and pay attention whenever the panels and screenings get announced. The panel tickets were free and filled up almost instantly, though at the actual event the standby line I think was able to get in. The evening screenings also sold out pretty fast. Those cost extra but came with cool goodies (last year one was a badass Ghost In The Shell print and the other of course was the TX Chainsaw vinyl).

Still on the fence... ACL Fest is that weekend, and it is looking pretty killer. Gary Clark Jr, Leon Bridges, Tame Impala, Foo Fighters, TV On the Radio, Chance the Rapper, Father John Misty, Run the Jewels, Flosstradamus, Kurt Vile, The Strokes, Alabama Shakes, Shakey Graves, Lord Huron, Hozier, Bassnectar, Deadmau5. What a fucking lineup! This also means hotel rates will be balls deep in your wallet, and all the hotels will book up quickly if they haven't already.

^@Nathan! Full report, please.

I am agonizing over all the cons/festivals. I'm holding my breath until the Fabio Frizzi US tour gets announced (or doesn't get announced). If it ends up being at MondoCon or Beyond Fest and I miss out on tickets I will certainly self-immolate.

Not sure if anybody else pays attention to metal fests, but Claudio Simonetti's Goblin was announced as performing at both the Housecore Horror festival in Texas this November, and at Maryland Deathfest next May. \m/

Thanks Layne. I figured it was more fitting. Which do you like more? The black and white or the color? The sword is hard to see in the b&w? :(
