Pablo- you can buy the other editions from OneWayStatic.com, they're based in Europe and shipping will be less expensive. Aside from that, we would expect the 100 honey colored records to be much much more than $60 after these sell out?

I made the order, didn't pay for it. I'm still able to pay or it's sold out and will be removed from my order? Anyone with this problem?

@lazyben that shipping actually makes sense because I believe they are based in Cali. $15 to ship to Michigan, whoa Nelly!

I guess it all just comes down to how much you want it, and after all is said and done it is the buyers choice whether to buy. I'm sure it will end up being quite collectible down the road so the people who got it can view it as some sort of investment.

Let's avoid shitting all over Clive Barker. He is probably way underprepared for the shitstorm he's gonna get from those Facebook lunatics

The Clive Barker site is only offering USPS Priority Mail, which is why it is more expensive (no media mail or standard shipping option). The California sales tax is interesting, and I guess a tax accountant or lawyer is involved somewhere in that equation. That said, I don't mind supporting him and I went ahead and ordered the variant.

Yeah, I live in DE, which is about as far on the east coast as you can get... so I am just not doing it. If it was $6-$8 bucks, sure, but $15 plus tax (when I live in a tax free state), give me a break! I was on board with the honey yellow, but nah... I like my sub more and more. I liked the idea of having something exclusive and rare, but I am not in vinyl collecting as an investment and I doubt I would sell it down the road. Passing on this isn't too hard to do; though, I must admit, I am a bit sad. They should have looked into better shipping methods.

Just wanted to give out a shout out to all of you!

C A N D Y M A N response was amazing. There are some copies of all editions left. But we sold 75% in the last 24hrs.
So… yeah… hurry if you want one.

The Clive Barker edition was made in friendship with the man himself. They requested only 100 copies in an exclusive vinyl of their choice. To thank Clive for his collaboration on Candyman (and on future projects) we were happy to oblige. It's not every day you get to work with someone who's movies you grew up with.

We had no control over pricing, availability (let alone that state sales tax stuff). It's cool & it's limited but there are plenty color vinyl variants at regular prices, cheaper black vinyl and a cheap tape option to go around on OWS & LITA.

So long story short… you buy what you want, where you want at what price you want to spend.
Whatever rocks your boat.

Yeah, I'm torn between which version to choose. I'm guessing the Bee Striped will be black and yellow, but the mirror one sounds really interesting if it's actually more reflective instead of just a silver color. I really don't want to buy both as I'm trying to enforce my own 1 copy per release limit.

I dont mean to get all gushy but this the release of the year for me. Just simply a gothic masterpiece from Philip Glass. Thank you one way static! This is one that I mentioned a while ago on the wishlist forum and to see it actually happening from a stand up company like one way static made my year for soundtracks. Can't wait to get it, whichever version comes!

It would be funny if glass contributed notes to the score as he was very dissatisfied with it:

The final version of the film was a disappointment to Glass. He felt that he had been manipulated. What was presented to him as a low budget independent project with creative integrity indeed became a low budget Hollywood slasher flick. 

Honestly not a great film by any means, but a perfect score.

@NMA, thanks very much for the heads up, went onto the website and picked up a copy to the UK with virtually the same shipping costs as Mondo charge! Did not think I would get the Honey coloured version, its nice there are shipping options available, dont mind waiting if it gets the price down.
