Are they going to have the same cover art? I don't think it's clear from the article. I love the back cover of the red edition; will it be the same for the deluxe? I like that we have at least three variants to choose from for this great soundtrack.

I'm listening to the Soundcloud bits. Love it! I think I watched the film around 1998 on VHS. Didn't remember the score. Quite diverse. Great main theme.

@pmaligaya, I thought it was clear in the article, but you are right. Can't really see what is what. Description of the deluxe variant does sound impressive.

Maybe I'm misreading, but:

Red version out tomorrow 2000 copies
Deluxe standard version out tomorrow unlimited copies

That's the options available.

Silly question, but will there be a cassette version?

I think I'm getting whatever has the simplest artwork, because it suits the music, which is often...beautiful. What I love about this soundtrack (at least most of it) is that if you take it out of the movie, you'll never know that it's from this notorious "video nasty."

Yeah, that's what I read, Peek-a-boo.

So, since it's available exclusive to One Way Static, I'm assuming that us in the US will be ordering it from the Mondo/Death Waltz store?

So excited!!! Congrats OWS & DW on pulling this off. CH finally on vinyl...wow!!!

So the two different versions detailed on the Quietus will be for sale through OWS only, and people in the US can purchase it? I'm an OWS Subber if that matters any.

@pmaligaya The cover artwork for the Valentine edition is the same as the poster art as shown in the photo.

The deluxe versions generally are not the ones given unlimited runs, so I'm sure there's a bit more to that. Mondo probably got the bigger run.
Poster aside, the images shown in the article are underwhelming. Is that really the cover? Really?

This for a cover would be a bit underwhelming. I hope it's just a dummy graphic...

I like the artwork for the Mondo version best actually, but I want the deluxe edition too for the booklet.

yep! the art is very good on the mondo, the label on the record is almost perfection for this release. Also the green inferno with the red label is the perfect interpretation of the heli shots over the amazon forest of the opening credits with that iconic tune.

The Graham Humpherys artwork is fantastic

Can't wait. Even though somehow I've ended up with three versions on CD already!

The pictures absolutely do no justice to the releases.

The deluxe is some classy sh*t , printed in silver on a gatefold + packed with bonus goodies.
It even comes with a bonus item we have not yet revealed ;-)

I'm loving the black and silver cover, the title typeface is something I've always been a fan of and is a great contrast to the inside and vinyl. Although I like the mondo cover, it's not immediately recognisable as CH. Definitely will be trying for both OWS variants. Great work Seb.

Seb - will US folks be able to order this from your site or is it Europe only? Spencer had mentioned something about license restrictions back when it was first announced.

I do loves me some classy sh*t, so I'll take your good word for it.

In case this blows up and sells out fast, will there be some set aside for Static club members?

Hmmm, torn on this one. Absolutely skint at the moment but don't want to regret sleeping on this one at all. Have vouchers for my favourite record shop at the minute and they usually get all DW releases in so tempted to wait til I'm next in and see if they have it then. Any idea if this is going to standard retail?

I love this soundtrack but have had the Lucertola CD since it came out and am very familiar with it so might just risk waiting and picking up a vinyl copy later *who am I kidding?*

^ Ditto all of these questions, especially if US-based Static Club members will be allowed to order this title from OWS.

I actually like both the Mondo and the OWS/DW artworks, as they are quite different. The classic Cannibal Holocaust logo is great, it looks like a death metal band logo. Hope I can order this version from the US!

Take my money now for the red vinyl. I only know about this soundtrack through being on STBC forum, I'm not really bothered about all the extra sleeve notes & stuff. I listened to the album on YouTube & it's belting!

It sure is. One of my all time favourites. I know there were rights issues that prevented releases in the past but I'm always surprised it didn't get a vinyl release at the time or that no one put out a bootleg vinyl release at the very least. Really is a cracker.
