Waxwork have been really awesome in replying to me in regards to a defective record I recieved, and we kept talking back and forth, but I admit that when I asked them about Beetlejuice, they stopped responding and it’s been a couple of days.

I didn’t get any notification about sub shipping today either.

Man, got a message from my wife during an incredibly long workday that I had a package from Waxwork. I don't think she believes that I didn't buy any new records, but I was genuinely stunned. No notifications, no emails, no word about these releases on social media. I knew we seemed behind on our subscriptions but that always seems like the way it goes....its also possible I've been working too much and missed some mentions somewhere....but yeah, shredded that box at 2am, sure enough, both Burbs & Drag Me to Hell.....haven't peaked inside at the vinyl itself but pretty happy this morning....

I like it myself, though I continue to find the trend of not having composer name prominently on front (or having it so miniscule as to really make you wonder 'why bother?'... see the otherwise ace Mondo JAWS as a prime example!) to be irksome personally. It's difficult to tell from the low pixel image above tho tbh- in reality both of those sleeves may just pass my 'minimum font size for composer credit' test!

Also, I warmed to the Burbs sleeve art even more when I realised that you have to look at it UPSIDE DOWN!! ;-)

i understand what you say Reee-eeeen! not having the composer on the cover is a little disrespectful, no doubt!

also I guess you are right about the Burbs cover. i guess i have to wait for my copy to judge on it. the above picture really is too small. maybe it has to do something with my big anticipation as this was one of my top unreleased wants. in fact, i did not even know what to expect from the art so i shut up now!

Both of my crazy colored sub variants of Drag Me to Hell and Burbs are perfect sounding! Very impressive packages here. Oh, that Burbs art is great once you realize to look at it upside down. I was staring at it trying to figure out why they designed the underground caves like that. Didn't think to flip it around. HA

I think they were just late in emailing out the notifications, because i also got a Burbs/Drag shipping notification today, but it showed that it shipped last week and was already almost at my door.

I’m not going to lie, I’ve kind of preferred the retail variants of most of the sub releases this year, but I’m not buying these twice*.



*may buy this one twice if the sub variant is splatter though
