Sad news that I somehow didn't see until this morning.

One of the best to ever do it, and I never heard a word from him that I didn’t agree with.
Since the health announcement last year that he was no longer able to work, I did wonder how much longer he would be with us. Seemed like the epitomy of a ‘work until the very end’ kind of artist.

A legend. RIP
When his wife announced that he has been dealing with Alzheimers for a few years and it had progressed to the point where he couldn't paint I knew it was unfortunately not going to be much longer. I've hade the displeasure of watching that take two family members over the years and it's a harrowing experience I wouldn't wish on anyone. Once major "normal" function for them was gone they were both gone with in a year or so

I commiserated with my family regarding Struzan's passing earlier in the week. They do not always remember all the artists I am into, but when I walk through the home and show them framed prints, "this one... and this one... and this one" it starts to come back. Not sure what else to say other than his work has been a oversized influence.
It has already been impossible to find a Dark Tower print, and I missed what felt like a last chance in one of those Mondo archive offerings. So much has changed since those days, but I wonder now if anybody would even reprint it.
