How does anyone else's Dunwich sound? Mine has a layer of noise that equals a high disappointment level - Cleaned twice thinking it was too heavy an application of Groove Glide...wrong!

@hncreature, I have not played my Dunwich in a while but don't remember any noise. I will try to spin it today and get back with you. Is there any particular side and/or track or is it just throughout?

this one arrived yesterday, a nice compilation of themes, it goes very nicely with my Horror & Science Fiction compilation on the same label, Milan

I have those Milan comps. They're very good. Also an inexpensive way to get some Evil Dead & Phantasm tunes while I wait for the full soundtracks to appear in my life haha. This one pictured here also led to tracking down "L'ascenseur" aka The Lift. The music was composed by the director.

@Bud, I agree, both comps are very good. I also have "The Lift", which I think is a excellent score. I enjoyed the score so much when I got it years ago I rented the movie. Managed to make it through even with the subtitles.

@Tim haha I've never even heard of The Lift prior to this comp. I still need to check it out. A movie about a killer elevator definitely sounds like my kind of flick

Tim is that a DL103 or 103R? How do you like the sound so far?

@static, great eye! It is a 103. I like it, it's a very satisfying cartridge. It's a great tracker. An all around sweet sounding cartridge. I have heard the 103R is just more of the 103. At the time I could not afford the 103R. I also read a review that said it (103) was a great match for the VPI Aries table. I was never disappointed with it and it stayed on the table till being replaced by the Blackbird but I moved it to my Denon DP-47F. I do miss the Blackbird though. I got it used and the previous owner said "around" 200 hrs. I have put over 1000 on it so I thought it might be time to have it checked out. Still sounded wonderful but I did not want to chance my vinyl. I'm currently waiting on a Clearaudio Virtuoso Wood to be returned from Sound Smith, retipped. Once I get it back I will send them the Blackbird for evaluation.

Ah that's brill. Ive seen the film 'The Lift' got it on VHS years ago - other than it looked a cool cheesy film I work as a Lift Engineer so had particular meaning. The same director re-made his film years later with American Actors called 'Down' I believe
But to get hold of the music would be a treat!
