I'd love to see a 7" release of that cool track that's playing at the dinner party in Roman Polanski's "The Tenant", it's not on the OST. I spent a while trying to track down more about it but drew a blank...

Not a horror film, but the soundtrack to the film Shame is spectacular, and only available on CD as far as I'm aware.

I totally agree with Buggenhagen, Jay Chattaway's 'Vigilante' is an amazing score that absolutely need a physical release.
In my wishlist, I will add the score from 'Let's scare Jessica to death', a missing masterpiece from Orville Stoeber.
I would also love to get one day a vinyl pressing of 'Carnival of soul' soundtrack.

I'd would really like to see a release of the soundtrack for Ben Wheatley's Kill List. Awesome and unsettling soundtrack in my opinion.

I'd love the soundtracks for Tetsuo and Tetsuo II to be released on vinyl, as well as 12 Monkeys (which is totally underrated in my opinion) and Michael Nyman and Damon Albarn's awesome score for Ravenous.

There's a bunch of videogame soundtracks I've love on vinyl too, such as the first Tenchu and the first 2 Katamari Damacy games, but maybe one day...

i second the cannibal holocaust soundtrack by riz ortolani. That would be awesome. Id also love a copy of the original maniac released by mondo. i would also love to have the soundtrack to the Evil Dead remake on vinyl. I do not believe it has been pressed to vinyl, but man is it good.

I'm hankering to get a hold of a few classics. Manfredini's Friday the 13th 3-D EP (with glasses), maniac, Nightmare on Elm Street, and a copy of Phantasm to replace the one I do have because it has a skip in it. Aaaarrrfgggh!!

I wish the soundtrack for Exterminators of the Year 3000 existed in any format.

I'm a fan of action-trash, so 1990: Bronx Warriors, The Exterminator 2, and Hobo With a Shotgun all warrant physical releases. Or I'm willing to be the sole person to purchase them.

As for horror, generally anything associated with Cronenberg. But, more than any other, VIDEODROME!!!

Does anyone know if the music in the trailer for The Shining is available anywhere? It was also used in Room 238 and it's god damn amazing. It's not on any of the score releases that I've looked at.

It could well be on the Room 237 ost that our very own Keymaster will be releasing this year!

Someone pleeeeease re-issue Gil Melle's Andromeda Strain soundtrack (with hexagonal sleeve of course). Got the Creel Pone re-ish but vinyl would be lovely.

A. Blonkensteiner-Apocalypse Domani re-issue would be nice seeing as i (stupidly) sold both my copies :(

@danse macabre I think Videodrome is relatively easy to come by -- I know I grabbed my copy for less than $15, unfortunately, somebody ripped a needle across it, so now I need a new one. Check eBay - I know right now, there is a strange blondie collection with a sealed copy as part of it....

Yeah, got to agree that Cannibal Holocaust would be magic to have on vinyl. I've had the old German Lucertola Media CD release since it came out but would be great to have a nice vinyl release. I've heard rumblings that there are big issues with the rights, hence no vinyl release - anyone know what the story is?

I have the limited run LP of this, and it looks like it's still available directly from the filmmaker's website if you're keen:

Both the film and the score are so good, seek them out!

Very long fantasy list but for now I'll take wax pressings of these Carpenter scores as yet only CD issued:

In the Mouth of Madness (killer JC, killer score...)
Ghosts of Mars (so-so JC, killer score...)

I'm going to post my (almost) complete Carpenter vinyl collection over on the appropriate board soon.....it's a monster!

Never officially released but "Phase IV" by Desmond Briscoe & David Vorhaus would be near the top of my wishlist. Someone did an excellent CDR boot of this but it needs a full release.

Otherwise a physical release for Jon Hopkins' "Monsters" instead of just a d/l.

And someone please release the "Grabbers" soundtrack by Christian Henson.

Ah man, there's so many great scores, it's so hard to pick a couple, but here goes:

- Douglas Pipes - Trick R' Treat (it's a crime that this hasn't gotten the proper vinyl treatment yet)
- Neil Young - Dead Man
- Danny Elfman - Edward Scissorhands
- Howard Shore - Lord Of The Rings
- John Carpenter- Escape From New York (or really ANY of his soundtracks in general)
