Thanks @red! Great to see they went ahead with pressing this themselves, and seems close to selling out their 500 copies too - jumping on it now.

I haven’t yet. Do they ship from the US or the UK?
I assume shipping is to a similar standard as Mondo or Death Waltz. Which means paying customs in my case.

Well I checked just now…
Ordering from the Netherlands. Prices are including tax which means no additional customs.
€55 plus €12,50 shipping…
Bloody expensive!
I’ll keep spinning my Japanese OG

Ok. The band I work with as a visual artist, we have a lot in common taste wise, and shared influences. Svankmajer is definitely somebody we all hold in high regard. And we all love Karel Zeman’s Czech masterpiece, Invention for Destruction.
Well a few years back the band were looking at doing a live score to the film, with some visual and set design aspects by yours truly. We called the Czech Institute to run the project by them, perhaps get some support. And as we explained the project (presumably on speaker), suddenly we heard this booming, non-English voice yelling in the background, very angry. After a while the poor Czech Institute lady explained that it was Jan Svankmajer who happened to be visiting the office - and he was saying ‘no no, absolutely not, they cannot do this, I won’t allow it! The original music is perfect! ‘
And so that, as they say, was the end of that!

I can see him being very protective (and cranky).

Top Gun - Enjoy the Ride - 10/18 12 est

Thanks for the heads up! The two ETR releases just dropped. Was actually cheaper for me to get Top Gun from At The Movies in the Netherlands than through Mutant here in the UK.

One of the guys in the American Werewolf FB group is working in releasing Elmer's score for An American Werewolf in London.

Guys I’m still working on this as my side project while I’m working on my new film. So the official soundtrack score of An American Werewolf In London is still in works. If everything works as planned then the fans should be able to see the vinyl release of the album. The second generation master tapes that I bought at the auction are amazing quality, not what Turbine cd release quality had. They didn’t use the masters and that’s why their sound quality sounded as poor as all those bootlegs of the score out there.
