Does anybody know if the Cannibal Holocaust OST has ever been released on vinyl? I can't find information about a vinyl release anywhere. Second question is; why not?! Such a good soundtrack!

Amen brother! I was just listening to this last night. One of my absolute favorites. I never get sick of the main theme! But no, I have never seen this on vinyl and have looked extensively.
Man, if I had a label this is the first thing I'd reissue

It was released mid nineties on cd by a German label called Lucertola Media. In 2005 it was re-released by Read Stream/Grindhouse in the US, also on cd. A couple years back the score was included as a bonus disc on a limited Austrian DVD box.
No vinyl yet.

i once read an interview thatspencer hickman from death waltz tries to put it out on vinyl but the right issues are extremely complicated...
i hope he manages it because this would be a holy grail!

It must be tied up in rights issues from hell. Otherwise this surely would've been done by now.

Shame there's not been a vinyl release yet - really would love to hear what the full story behind the complicated rights issues.

Death Waltz just announced this. They are putting it out with One Static Records.
I think they said Halloween or December. Should be good.

"Details are scarce but both Death Waltz Records and One Way Static Records made a joint announcement this morning. Both companies are teaming up for a release of Riz Ortolani’s Cannibal Holocaust score.
The notorious film, by Ruggero Deodato, recently returned to select theaters thanks to Grindhouse Releasing who, I’m sure, also has a hand in bringing the upcoming Cannibal Holocaust vinyl to life.
What we know for sure about the release is that orders are going to be taken on October 31st. We’ll update you as more details are presented!"
