I saw this earlier today on the basis that I loved the guy's last film, Primer. This one sure didn't disappoint and the soundtrack, one piece in particular near the end, was sublime.

Seems it's only available stateside at present though; does anyone know anything about a UK release by any chance?

The edition it's not as good as it seem in the picture, but the music sounds great and it's a very good soundtrack.
The song you're referring it's "a low an distant sound gradually swelling and increasing"

Shipping cost were just 11 dollars to Chile.

Thanks. Unfortunately just about everywhere other than the UK is listed as a shipping destination...I hope it's getting UK release soon.

Is that the track with the slow and incredibly long violin? It's when the main characters have a sort of break-down/revelation.

hmm...that's odd - I'm in the UK and had the soundtrack shipped to me a few months back, directly from the website and very reasonably priced for a limited edition. Well worth the effort to get hold of anyway, and not sure I agree with comment about quality of the release - feels and sounds like pretty HQ virgin vinyl to me,and love the minimalist sleeve art - suits the glacial ambience of Carruth's score to a T

The film is fantastic too...can't wait to see where he goes next.

One of my favourite scores of the year, yet to see the film though. You're lucky discosucks, I had to buddy up with someone on here to get the record to the UK.

The film has to be amongst my favourites this year, great to see it's getting UK distribution by Metrodome this next month. The score is a tie with Field in England.

Thanks for posting about this soundtrack, I have bought on trust and already listened to the immediate digital download and...WOW! It's the kind of music that I love to listen while lounging on my couch! Great stuff, I hope to see soon also the movie!

So...this thread is likely dead, but I've now got a bit of spare cash and I NEED this in my collection and it's still not shipping to the UK.

Any stateside-dwellers up for a bit of vinyl buddy action to secure me a copy of this? I can pay via paypal asap or if there's something UK-only that you're after we can arrange a trade? I've a copy of The Fog Blakes Gold Edition if that's to anyone's fancy?

Weird there's no UK shipping I assumed it was because someone had landed UK distribution

luckily I've bagged a copy thanks to the buddy system on this forum, happy days.

Purchased mine soon after it was released, and order was handled/shipped to the UK via some third-party handler (don't recall the name) - I presume that's the thing which has changed since then, so that UK shipping now unavailable. Still......annoying and weird!

It really is pretty great huh? Works so well as stand alone music away from the film (the real test of a great soundtrack IMO

I actually love that score - and at the time of the film's release managed to grab MP3s of it which Carruth made available online. I'm happy to drop them over to you if you supply your email

This is great, thanks for the tip! Watched the movie the other day, thought it was okay, but the soundtrack sounded great.

Nope, sorry man - these are the only format that Carruth posted online (I think on the Primer website, but I can't be sure now) so I grabbed them while I could. Still sound pretty great and it's cool to have them (since an actual OST seems very unlikely - there's only about 10mins of music from the film

It sounds pretty glorious-was high in my top 10 vinyl OST this year. The film is genuinely quite brilliant.
