Ennio Morricone's Horror Scores

This week a list of horror movies with a score by Il Maestro Morricone.

According to http://www.chimai.com (http://www.chimai.com/index.cfm?module=FMG&mode=CAT) there are only 10 scores classified under the moniker Thriller/Fantasy-Horror (Thrillers with scenes of horror).
However, doing my own search I come across a title like Amanti d’oltro tomba from 1965. IMDB classifies this as horror, but chimai.com places it under Sci-Fi/Mystery. Same goes for Holocaust 2000. Also Le Foto proibite di una signora per bene I classify as a giallo, but chimai.com as Suspense. And The Island (1980) surely isn’t what we would consider horror, is it?

So I’m mixing some chimai.com genre categories to create the list below of which I (and IMDB) use Horror as a the main classification (and I am omitting giallo scores – that’s for another list).

Any ideas and additions are more than welcome.

With all the above in mind I only count 11 horror scores.

Of these 11 only 7 were released in full on vinyl.

L'ANTICRISTO has the same 2 tracks from the 7" on the Beat CD (CR 17) SEPOLTA VIVA (13 tracks-not horror)/L'ANTICRISTO, but that's it.

Ennio Morricone - The Chosen on Cerberus records is the USA equivalent of Holocaust 2000.
I have both, such a great release.

I have the japanese 7" of L'anticristo, have never seen anything beyond that.

Don't forget Il Maestro's score for The Link aka Blood Link aka Extrasensorial. One of my favorites and it has had a couple of releases on vinyl including a fairly recent Dagored reissue that can be found, with ease, for less than $15 American.

I'd put The Island in the horror genre as well.

Rampage.

Exorcist 2: The Heretic.

The Stendahl Syndrome (one of my all time favourites...)

Thanks all for the additions.

Whether or not a movie is classified as a horror movie will be open to debate in a lot of cases. I am going to use the IMDb classification as the decider (with the exception of the giallo genre).

Because of that:
I am not going to add Rampage to this list. Imdb considers this as drama/thriller: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095958/?ref_=nv_sr_7
The Stendhal Syndrome I classify as a giallo. So that will go on another list.
The Link definitely deserves a place in this list.
The Island also does not make the cut on this list: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080934/?ref_=nv_sr_5
