Hello all,

Many of you saw the news yesterday.
We are very excited to be releasing our third installment in the Nicolas Winding Refn Present Series. On July 17, 2015 we will be putting out the soundtrack to Paul Verhoeven's ROBOCOP with the original music by Basil Poledouris.
The 24 tracks score has been remaster for the occasion.

This release will be presented on a tip-on gatefold with silver metallic finish. It will feature an original artwork by Jay Shaw and a digital download card. OCP inner sleeves.
Pressed on two 2 x 180 gm red LP.

Although I am extremely happy for this release, it would have been über-cool (my thought) if you could use the following Robocop render by J. Shaw:

Looks to be an excellent release. RIP Maestro Poledouris.

@NMA this actually was a strong contender. We love that poster. But since this was already available as a poster, we felt it was better to come up with a different art for the vinyl release.

But I agree. This image is very difficult to beat.

I will most probably upgrade from my Varese Sarabande edition to this expanded one. Robocop is a must have score for any soundtrack enthusiast.

Amazing stuff... I was wondering when this would be next! I have it on my MP3 player and when I walk to work through the streets of Hackney, I feel like a total bad ass!

I have just received my copy thanks to Transmission. Best reissue of the year so far.

I don't know the Varese LP. Discogs lists some tracks that don't appear on this reissue such as "Murphy's death", "The Dream", "Robo Tips His Hat". I assume these have been renamed, eg "Murphy's death" on the Varese release is "Murphy dies" on this one, correct?

On a side note, @Milan, is Robocop 2 in the pipeline?

@JC

New On Vinyl has listed Robocop for sale on black vinyl and with standard cover. Is it happening?

Meant to post awhile back, but this is super nice! Great soundtrack by Basil Poledouris (please, oh please do Conan next!), and phyically the nicest package Milan has put out to date.

Indeed, excellent reissue. Just look out for fingerprints on that shiny sleeve!
