I'm pretty sure it wasn't on the US RSD list and I didn't see any. Could be wrong though.

I'm sure this won't be hard for UK folks to find. If I run into a copy or two I'll grab 'em for you guys.

I had a friend grab one for me at a store, and I was told it was at a store in Austin...so it definitely hit the US, perhaps just in small numbers.

farcry was extremely limited. a store in austin only received 3 copies, thats the only place I saw that had it.

I was looking for Far Cry in Chicago too. Tried 5 stores in Bucktown/Wicker Park, several said they didn't order any when I asked.

I'm thinking about getting this from Norman Records - is it worth getting when I have the original?

^^I'd also like to know this. Any soundclips/downloads available?

It's a 3-track "re-imagining" of the original and only the final one "the wonderfully-titled Open Up And Let The Devil In) bears any close musical relation to anything that was in the film (it remixes the drums). It's interesting and a good EP in its own right, but - as with most RSD product I guess - the price is at the very high end of reasonable. Certainly worth getting hold of, but a spot of judicious shopping around might be needed. Hopefully the remaining UK RSD stock going online at midnight tonight'll drive prices down elsewhere.

Thanks Si, that's pretty much what I'd suspected.

I would also say that it's not the greatest pressing either - my side 1 clicks from start to finish as if there's a straightline scratch right across it. There is a download card with it though to reduce the annoyance :)

Hmm... That's a shame. Think I'll stick to the original then, unless a cheapo copy comes my way.

The Ebay theory is truth! I just picked this up for $21 - Keep looking folks prices are already starting to drop...

Mine is the same - it's the noisiest record I've bought in a long while. The download code does help, but renders the disc pretty much ornamental.

Another on eBay for $21. They also have some other super cheap RSD stock. Picked up the Medical RSD records for $14 each and Monster Skies for $18.
