@mateo, no I didn't get a shipping notification from Relapse. I'd assume If you ordered around the same time I did you should probably get em early next week. Enjoy!

@monsterworship. Your guess is as good as mine. As I mentioned, I never received a shipping notification. I just checked the order status on my account for the heck of it and it says "processing pre-order". So perhaps for some reason they decided to get them out sooner or maybe somebody fucked up :-). I wonder if they decided to get them out now to coincide with the upcoming Zombi shows?

Either they changed the date or I was reading it English style but regardless mine just showed up today! I ordered two sets of the 3...and saved a whole $0.89 per set! One for me and one for my brother's X-mas present which I'll be mailing soon because Zombi is opening for Goblin in Cleveland and I don't want him to double up

My Cosmos blue green merge is a bit weak...looks like a solid green and a green with maybe some blue...the other two are very nice

Got to see Zombi on some tour here in San Diego...it was amazing!

I have to agree with StrangeVices about Spirit Animal...hoping spinning this cool vinyl will mesmerize me into thinking differently

I'm surprised by the reactions to Spirit Animal. I've always found it to be their most exciting record by far. It has such great classic American prog influences in it mixed with the Italian horror soundtrack style they were originally known for. It is one of my most favorite albums on vinyl ever.

It is definitely exciting about the re-issues. I ordered a set also, so I can't wait for them to show up. I already own all of their albums on vinyl, but it never hurts to have a back up!

@ghostfires, I agree this is my favorite Zombi along with Escape. I think people were turned off by the prevalence of distorted guitar, but I loved the heaviness. Blast the intro of "through time" its so damn intense. My fav cover art of all their records too. Too each his own Zombi :-)

I can understand how the guitar was a bit new to Zombi fans, but surely they couldn't have been surprised by it since Goblin used so much guitar, and typically Goblin is cited as the most directly influential on Zombi.

I love the use of guitar in their work. Steve Moore did a great job of using guitar in the Gutterballs soundtrack too, which is just really damn good on vinyl.

Mine just arrived and they sound amazing. As hncreature mentioned, Cosmos is more deep green with a hint of blue...if you're looking for it, but that aside, it's a lovely color. I double checked the Relapse page and the picture is almost identical to the copy I have as opposed to the original mock up which had a striking amount of powder blue in it. Anyhow, I cannot endorse these enough. Go forth and snap up!

Mateo & hncreature, if you hold up Cosmos to a light, it looks similar to what Relapse has pictured. Not as bright & obvious but there are some patches of yellowish green in it.

Also, looks like they're no longer offering the package deal. Most likely due to Spirit Animal selling on it's own since I don't see that listed anymore. Cosmos & Surface to Air mailorder exclusives are still up. Glad I took the plunge. I probably would have kicked myself in the ass later for not getting them.

My order from Relapse came to my parents house yesterday. The only thing I ordered was Cosmos and Surface to Air limited versions, so maybe they're shipping early? I can't get over their til next week to actually open it and confirm.

I stand corrected...Spirit Animal is really good...been so long since I listened to it I forgot I did like it - Escape Velocity was a bit of a let down coming off of Spirit

@hncreature - Exactly! Spirit Animal was epic and aggressive and stylish without sounding too retro. Escape Velocity sounds like it was made because they had the popular name and the instruments. It doesn't sound engaging at all. Sadly, that is how I feel about both of their individual albums too. The first couple of Steve Moore albums and the very first Majeure album were all really great - but from there on they've just seemingly lost the passion that use to be in their music. They've forgone raw intensity for clarity of the styles they're constantly trying to emulate. Instead of reinventing synth prog, they've just fallen into the same mix of all these other bands trying to relive 70's analog synth prog through an Apple laptop lense.

@ghostfires - "...doesn’t sound engaging..." is a perfect way to put it - Like they were forced to throw something together with a day to spare - Just picked up the Majeure and have to give that all a listen...it sounds like Steve taught AJ a few things and off he went...I am liking "Timespan" - Love Steve's Gianni Rossi and Lovelock is fun...these sound like he cares what is put out
