I think the album is only good in small doses and it feels a bit too familiar for comfort. If you're going to go this route, I think Umberto does it so much better. Or better yet, just listen to Carpenter.

I really enjoyed this, I listened to it on Band Camp -- Sometimes I have to listen to something besides Carpenter ;) I ordered up the lp as well -- always willing to grab something as reasonably priced as this...

I've been listening to this for the past month and I have to say I really like it , I also think there is a lot more going on here than just simple carpenter worship, there are touches of Nicolai in some tracks and the album as a whole seems very cohesive.
Just cause it is dark synth stuff it seems way to easy and lazy to just namecheck carpenter when describing it - I know we are all guilty of that (myself included)
It's got some great melodies and stands up to repeat listens.
