If any of you guys have been getting into or are into Matthew Akers (M.Akers), he makes some pretty enjoyable Carpenter-inspired electronic/ambient music. I am passing it along because two of his older cassettes that had been sold out on his site are available for cheap on Discogs, both from the same seller - oilynight, and I picked up both plus a record and it was all cheap shipping...arrived safely, and it all sounds really good.

Just received a cassette copy of Black Unicorn's Traced Landscapes in the mail, it sounds freakin' awesome. I'm sure you guys could track down a copy sooner or later through Discogs, but for now - the album is free on Bandcamp...

@purplemule74, what can I say, it seemed appropriate! :)

The coolest part about it is it's actually a phone. Wish I had a landline to use it! It makes revving sounds and headlights light up when there's an incoming call. Even better, when you put the caller on hold, it plays the revving sounds on their end. Pretty outlandish piece of 80s culture. :)

I've got one of the first pressings and have had it for a while, I can't believe I forgot to mention it until now because it is really good. It is synth pop/Italo-disco jams with bass lines very similar to what you might be use to hear from Umberto.

Hope you dig it!

Reddermoon is great. Makes sense that it would have an Umberto vibe, Jeremiah played drums with Umberto when I first saw Matt play back in 2011.
