Anyone here follow the Finders Keepers record label? They put out a reissue of the Gilbert Deflez/Jacky Chalard album Je Suis Vivant, Mais J'Ai Peur a couple of years ago, and I reeeeeeeeally want to find a copy of it. Anyone happen to have one you don't want, or would be willing to trade?

I have all the Finders Keepers stuff and a lot of the stuff on related labels. This one is not expensive on discogs.

@lazyben - well there are no sellers within the U.S., I was hoping to find someone with a copy here, to cut down on shipping. I think the cheapest is $40 after shipping from the U.K. I was hoping to find it for a little less than that, if at all possible.

Hmm...there was a B-music US release but it appears to have been cd only. The FK releases were reasonably well distributed over here so there's probably a store somewhere with a copy of the LP.

Mount Analog in LA are the US HQ for FK/B-Music etc and they don't have it on their website but it might be worth calling them (warning - their website crashed my browser when I tried looking earlier).

Good luck.

Mount Analog does get almost all of their stuff, but a lot of it is in quantities so limited that they never make it online. Dlefinitely forth a call or an email. They're nice folks.

LOVE finders keepers. Surprised they don't get more love on this forum, they release some stellar rare soundtracks. Also love Mt. Analog, I live right by it!

Thanks guys. I did email MA, so we'll see. I've ordered several things from MA in the past, and always had great service from them.

I definitely like Finders Keepers a lot. I've always wanted to find a copy of the Pomegranates compilation from them as well, it sounds like one awesome listening experience...but unfortunately people want way too much for it on discogs.

+1 for Finders Keepers being awesome. Pity I discovered them at a time when I don't have as much disposable income to throw at blind buys, most of their stuff seems to deserve it. I'm keen to check out their Zdenek Liska releases, I love the stuff he wrote for Jan Svankmajer, hoping they'll be able to put that out sometime.

I can however vouch for their release of the Possession OST being fucking lovely. Great soundtrack and a nice simple respectful release.

It's a very good label but the quality of the records is bad (scratchs, crumple paper ...). When I bought it mint directly from the website.

@RougeGorge - I'd have to disagree with you on this, I have several of their releases and they are all top-notch in every respect! Art/design, sound quality, etc.

@10T5 Thanks for the heads-up. That Googosh song had me hooked from the first beats, but FK were out of vinyls when I wanted it some time ago. Now I had to get it, and of course, I then had to get the Googoosh vinyl from FK as well ... Iranian pop is completely new territory for me, looking forward to listening to those vinyl. And then I had to throw in T.R.A.S.E. for good measure.

Between this, the Disposable Music subscription (no download codes here either)last week, and the half dozen new vinyls they are soon putting up for pre-order, FK is getting a lot of my money lately. Well, they are trying really hard to make me give it to them ... damn my weak mind! ;)

@ tonyandrewgiles: where did you buy your Il Conte Dracula / Le Viol Du Vampire 7"?

I got my Morgiana OST 10" from my local record shop, expecting a DL code inside, but no dice. Mailled Finders Keepers to check if it was missing, but it seems they only include them with sales via their website, which is fair enough.

That soundtrack is amazing by the way and the guys at FK are super-nice. For anyone curious I can't recommend them highly enough.
