I'm sure there was already an FLK thread here somewhere, but never mind.

They have another new thing out! Which comes as a bit of a surprise as they weren't expected to be doing anything until April 19th with the cryptic "the revolution will be televised" thing that whatever The Rites Of Spring is.

Rosy is a 1-sided 7" limited to (quelle surprise) 230 copies, any unsold will be deleted after Feb 28th. Bit pricey at £10 (plus 23p p&p!) for the UK, but they've not put out a duff track to date so I'm already all over it :)

Ooh thanks, ordered.

It tried to charge me 14 quid for the US shipping version plus another 14 for shipping but got around that by selecting the shipping country but not hitting update total, just hitting the checkout button at that point.

Glad to get this one as I've missed some of the releases (hopefully just remixes).

Rites Of Spring 12" out on the 19th, although it's looking like it's a Limited Edition of 1.

Interesting development...

Apparently there's 4 of the buggers, and in a seemingly anti-RSD statement thingy, they'll only be available on eBay. Details tomorrow.

Just bid a million pounds. It's the sort of prank they would approve of :)

The Marry Waterson 7 has appeared at Norman Records today and that was supposed to be deleted after the online order deadline.

So I am speculating that the RSD/day before RSD thing is dubplates (given the big picture that says dubplates on facebook) and they will actually press it properly later.

Yeah, the Marry Waterson thing was a bit of a surprise as it was on sale on their site for well after Feb 28 - I guess it's hard to justify a £10, 1-sided 7" when it's on iTunes for 79p.

Guessing/hoping you're right with the dubplates thing, would be really disappointing if they'd hyped Rites Of Spring (which I'm sure I read was 14 tracks with Marry) only for it to be stupidly limited. Arty prank it may well have started out as but it's also really interesting music.

I am a genius!

They'll probably all end up on ebay so the last one might go for a vaguely affordable amount. I'll wait for the album or regular 12" though.

eBay one's 72 smackers already. Sod it.

Wow, what a ridiculous gimmick. Dubplates sound awful - they serve their purpose and then deteriorate really quickly.

Also, these weren't 'pressed', so I'm not sure what half of those costs were for. Unless they're secretly planning a full release of course ;)

There's a full album on the way, so I guess we're not going to miss out on anything that isn't around the corner anyway.

It's just a bit disappointing - they've been hyping today's date with the last two releases, and it's all a bit flat. Unless of course they fell foul of the increasing production delays for the LP and popped these out as an emergency stopgap. Nobody seems happy about it anyway, which is a bit of a shame.

They didn't exactly make a bunch of friends when they burnt the million quid either. Anyway I'm not interested in bidding on this but am hoping the next release will make up for it.

Just uploaded on the FLK's Facebook. I just don't know what to think anymore, although I suspect that's the point :)

EDIT: Ah - it's an old thing they've dug up when everyone went "well, the old KLF wouldn't have done such a moneygrabbing thing! etc"

Heh heh. The point with them has never been making as much money as possible, it's all about drawing a reaction with these stunts.
