@static14 - Three Days of the Condor! I was just marveling over a copy of that record recently...unfortunately it was $50....which seems a bit expensive...but might have to happen....

Right now, in the non-soundtrack world, I am really enjoying this:



Thee Oh Sees are a must have. This collection is awesome...especially since it collects so many split 7"s that are way too expensive now...

Poet I might have to check out that Thee Oh Sees album. $50 does seem a bit steep for 3 Days of The Condor. It is a great score though!

@Oiche - Luckily she's at work when the mail comes most days but today I braved the outside world and snagged a few beauties.

Not strictly soundtracks but for any Carpenter fan these totally work.

Cremator - Clean Air Turbulence - Just amazing.




Symmetry - Themes from an Imaginary Film - A little old now but still worthy of any 80s cop movie & at 6 sides just frankly looks lovely.



And this isn't even close to being a soundtrack but does feature the electro talents (albeit in short number) of Pharmakon & if noise is your bag…

Hoax is a little on the strange side. It's kind of like black metal hardcore with a little electronica thrown in. Picked it up on a recommendation because I like the Pharmakon record.

I'll be honest tho bud the packaging is something else.
The sleeve opens up & has all the thanks and whatnot written inside but for each song there is a corresponding A3 poster with the lyrics.

One of my very fave OSTs, and the great Bruce Langhorne (The Hired Hand) is very present here. I've been commissioned to adapt/perform his music from Peter Fonda's Idaho Transfer to be performed live to the film at a festival in March, so I'm immersing myself in his enormous talents right now....

Another replacement - I've had the UK edition forever and played it to death, then discovered that this version has all kinds of poster goodness with it.....scored a decent copy for not-much dolla, and indeed it does come with a breathtaking eight-foot-long monument valley fold out poster!! Now how the feck do you frame that??

This is great stuff, music from ballets and what-not....but kicks off with the sucker-punch of Psyche Rock (y'know, the Futurama theme?). Wasn't cheap, but that killer sleeve art clinched it for me!

Bit of a weird one eh? What's that your asking? Well, I have to confess to being one of the peeps who wasn't very fond of Death Waltz original sleeve designs....so I used the insert poster and cut/pasted it to create a full-bleed sleeve! Little did I know that Mr Hickman was planning to re-issue everything with the art full bleed - doh!!
