Next time, buy the straightforward "know what you get" standard edition in the store instead of knowingly trying your luck and ending up with the dice not rolling in your favor.

I also took a chance and bought from Waxwork's website, at almost twice the price I could have gotten it from Amazon. I might end up with two clear editions, I knew that to begin with. It's a choice man.

seriously, man? waxwork is one of the best labels out there right now. the care and love that they put into their releases, the quality of the music and the packaging, and the devotion they have shown to making their customer's happy? like @nathanlurker said, it's a roll of the dice with stuff like this. you shouldn't be sending FUs to waxwork, you should be on this forum finding a vinyl buddy that maybe has an extra copy of the variant you want and will sell/trade it to you for a fair price. this forum isn't about bashing anyone. take it easy, dude.

Has anyone received a clear haze copy yet? That seems to be the only variant mentioned that we haven't seen a picture of yet.

The price on Amazon UK is now went up to £24 and they are saying dispatched between 7 and 13 days. I'm confident I will get my copy at £17.

dumaisaudio: I don't think that exists. I think it was replaced with the black/burgundy.

I'm not sure if the black/burgundy is limited to 500 copies like the clear haze was supposed to be...

The Burgundy/Black thing I'm fairly sure was a happy between-pressings accident that WW put out anyway - no idea how many, presumably only a few, hopefully Kevin'll pop in at some point and clarify

Since so many of the black/burgundy ones seem to be getting to customers, I think it's safe to say it's a significant number of them, probably as many as the double colored ones. I'm interested if there is in fact a black/clear haze version out there, as no pics have surfaced.

In some way it's the same adrenaline shot, as when you get a Mondo vinyl; of course if you find what you don't expect it's a sad moment...but otherwise if the limited vinyl appear when you pull out the sleeve.... it's pure ORGASM!

P.S. Anyway I'm not a fan of that kind of "russian roulette"...

Si: Yes, it also mentioned a crystal clear center haze vinyl on Waxworks's own site on Dec 5: Rosemary’s Baby will be available on clear 180 gram vinyl.

Two very limited variants will be available: 500 randomly inserted units will be pressed onto 180 gram black and crystal clear center haze vinyl.

However, the product description now only mentions these: Pressed on 180 gram clear vinyl, black with burgundy haze, and special double sided / colored vinyl (Blue and Deep Red). So I'm pretty sure that's it.

Have you preordered you copy Layne ? IT's a beautiful variant color, pretty unique. It's definitely one of the great looking package all around. great cardboard for the gatefold, stunning color on the record. It sounds very good too, I'm rediscovering the music with great joy.

@nathan - yeah, i got the blue/red one, but after seeing so many beautiful pictures of the black/burgundy, i think i want that one too. not sure i want to take the chance just buying one from my local store though, or pay the premium price that the black/burgundy one probably fetches on ebay.
