@ScoJo - Very nice, and I was hoping from first sight that there was an intact label hiding underneath the accidental secondary one. I have experienced this one before with very bubbled-up and off-centered labels on a Warp UK record, but was very pleased when I peeled both of them off and found pristine original labels underneath.

It's a good feeling, for sure :)

Ha, funny, I just found these 2 VS in a record shop in Berlin - still sealed. The guy behind the counter told me that they bought these along with many other sealed scores on vinyl from an old collector who actually never listened to his LPs (an old-school hipster so to say). Anyway, no double labels on these two, can‘t wait to give them a spin when I‘m back at my home tomorrow.

In my home from home of sorts, Polska!

Some domestic reissue business going on over here with all of this vinyl fad :D grabbed these in a mainstream bookstore.

Will hopefully visit some proper record stores later, curious to see if the are more polish gems getting the reissue treatment.

Dollarhyde wrote:@steve I'll let you know when I get home to a record player. I was surprised to find it. Also came across some other Komeda reissues and some polish jazz series reissues too.
Love reading about the good records times. Enjoy!

Sweet batch of goodies that have come my way of recent.

@steve
The "Jersey Milian" sounds great and is beautifully pressed, solid shiny black vinyl in a poly lined anti stat sleeve, the back of the LP's blurb is in polish and English too. I'm very happy with it.

@million thanks for the freedom power, so mother funking good!

The Komeda LP is a happy accident on my part did not realise it's actually produced in 2008 and is a jazz trio with a vocalist doing their own arrangements of famous Komeda soundtrack peices, definitely has its moments and an amazing recording/pressing.

The two box sets on the left are proving to be a gold mine of gems. 2x5 LP's of post war Japanese cinema scores from 46 to 77. Not properly cracked into it yet but what I have listened to has been great, Avant Garde and beautiful so far. The liner notes are proving cryptic, and it's not on discogs :P

The lupin 3rd TV series bgm vol2 is a Yuji ohno no brainer.

And that's a 28 page 1970's Art book of Tezuka's Animerama Cleopatra production, check the fold out :0

I am loving that E.T. 2xLP!

Sad that my Daughters of Darkness hasn’t arrived yet. Did you order from the UK or US?
Sorry for the delayed response @havershaw. Just saw this now. I ordered from the US. Edsawesomesounds.com

No worries. I got mine the day before yesterday. Such a great record.

Mateo Sanboval wrote:Wicked haul, Dollar. Those Japanese box sets are intriguing.
They are proving rather mysterious at the moment. It seems to be ordered by films rather than composers, I think, chronologically. I think it covers about 40 films. The last one in the set is a selection from Yuji ohno's score for the Inugamis. I recognise a few composer's by face. Yuji, Masoru and Toru takemitsu, of whom it features music from the score of 'The face of another'. Now on my to see list. It's a great piece of music which I had been searching for and was happy to find it here. Has this lovely German waltz segment in it.

I have not been picking up all the expanded/reissued John Williams scores, but the recent Jaws from Mondo was mandatory for me. I have to say that E.T. might be up there as well along with Close Encounters. I was watching a Spielberg doc last week, and I was reminded of how much of a triangle those three films formed around me when I was a kid. Also, looking forward to receiving Daughters of Darkness in the near future.

I picked up nearly half of this recent pile special thanks to Matt @Dollarhyde:

I have also been filling in some missing pieces on my King Kong/Godzilla film scores.

Watching that speilberg doc made me go through almost his entire filmography over the summer in chronological order. Is there an expanded close encounters reissue out there?
