@max – Silly question, what speed did you play this at?
at 33rpm sounds fine to me! :D

Anyway you can compare the speed with the mp3! ;)

@max - yup took me a while to think of that (didn't see the card in the sleeve)

It was a bit of an odd one as it sounded trippy & surreal on both speeds but got there in the end.

Thanks buddy :)

Not a purchase as such, but I received a Zombi 2 litho from Spencer yesterday. Totally made my day. What a legend.

My RSD purchases from Norman Records in Leeds

Only 1 thing off my wishlist had sold out: the Ghostbusters 10". Was a great RSD for soundtracks and I'm really enjoying all these records especially the Death Waltz stuff they really raised the bar with all 4 releases and the Far Cry soundtrack is just out of this world. Also the liars single (top left) is the most impressive slice of vinyl I've ever seen, I can't stop staring at it, if you haven't seen it it's got actual coloured string pressed into clear vinyl, I kid you not plus its a great track. I was very impressed with Norman records handled RSD as well, taking wishlists off everyone numbering them and then picking everyone's records before they get to the counter is a really fair and efficient method and after hearing some of the horror stories on here other stores could learn a lot from them. Definitely going there from now on.

Is the Space Project set any good? Wasn't able to get to a store yesterday, hoping for a spare hour tomorrow and this is something that caught my eye as soon as it got mentioned...

@Si: Funnily enough it's the only one I haven't listened to yet because the vinyl is the type with big holes and I can't find the adaptor that came with my turntable which was very dissapointing because similar to you it's been on my list ever since I heard about it. It is a really nice package though.

Sooo anyone had a chance to listen to the RSD Mondo Paranorman yet? Just wondering if it sounds like doo doo like glow in the dark is notorious for.

About that David Lynch record - you can find some of the songs from it online, and I listened a week or so ago to see if it's something I wanted to grab. It was extremely dull to me - just drone work, and really un- exciting drones at that. For the price tag I just didn't feel like it was worth it, regardless of who's name was attached to it. Anyone else listened to it and feel differently?

Here's the RSD stash - with the DW releases to come, it's a bumper harvest this year! (the fontana 45 is Diana Dors - So Little Time - a brillant slice of 60s pop)

Is ParaNorman doo-doo...I think not - Mine sounded good - It is NOT the green GITD ala Poltergeist or The Hills Have Eyes it is truly a clear vinyl with no hint of color minus the black splatter...at least not in mine - I couldn't tell which color it was to glow until it did

Here you go- all the Death Waltz Record Store Day UK releases in all their swirly splattered, giant postered, lithographed, obi stripped glory...

@ghostfires I like the Lynch lp. Kind of Eraserhead meets Prince of Darkness remixed by Haxan Cloak. It was a bit of an impulse purchase. I agree though it's quite pricey for what it is, especially compared the DW stuff.

I already have the mp3's, but I wanted the vinyl (bonus it came with a cd too). I am seeing them in June for the first time. I was looking for you in the photos Monster posted. HAH! Nothing like digital stalking. I only missed out on a couple things that I really wanted- Liars, Paranorman & Terminator. I skipped the other 2 DW, though I think I may end up picking up the Bronx one later on. I'm not really a completest, so I don't really feel the need to have all four. I have Omar Souleyman on hold for me since I forgot to pick that up. No idea why I am into these Syrian people all the sudden. I also kind of like the idea of the NAWA release (traditional Syrian chants) and I kind of regret passing on the pixie release too, though that will be mainstream so it isn't like I ream really missing out (that was my justification for passing on it in the first place).
