Yeah, 7:30 EST and it's sold out? Hopefully they just pulled it instead. I guess I'll just stick with my sub copy for this one, as I'm not sure I want to spend the extra exchange rate money to get it from DW when they put it up.

Just noticed that the variant is $30 from LITA, so it's actually around the same price as getting it from DW, which is a change.

@mateo - I was planning on getting one. I have the retail variant from all of the releases in the sub (I have all three for AOP13), and this one does look pretty cool. If I don't get it though, it's no big deal. I think that's the lesson I've learned with RSD and the Mondo scavenger hunt, is that it's just vinyl.

Yeesh, I thought I had until April 29th to re-up my sub. Had to just charge the damn thing. I LITERALLY haven't even opened some of my recent sub copies yet because I'm in the last month of school so it's crunch time but damn it I'm having a full blast marathon this weekend.

I have to say that I wanted a sub so badly, that I turned into an 'ocd ridden sub-link clicking junkie'...I've been checking the DW 'subscriptions link' for the last couple of weeeks and have been waiting for this very day!

Yes it's probably quite sad on some level...but this soundtrack genre is something I'm actually very passionate about and I couldn't miss out. I can't really afford it either (been hitting it hard recently with purchases)...but needs must and all that.

Yeah, those subs went up a bit quickly (it even has the "The link below is confidential and should not be shared with anyone this will remain hidden from the public until April 29th as to give existing subbers a chance to bag the sub..." text in the description)

I hope all existing subbers are still able to get on board if they wish.

Well, in the e-mail that went out yesterday it clearly says they go on sale Friday, so they knew to jump on it or not. ::shrugs:: I'm a bit bummed the pink/green went live on LITA so early in the morning, but I guess the phrase "you snooze, you lose" applies to me here. LOL. I guess I will just get it locally at my shop now. No sense in paying high shipping and international exchange fees on my credit card.

I wish everyone would take a lesson from the way that Waxwork released Creepshow. Release everything at once, at one time, and just let it sell out however it sells out then. It seems like WW had a lot of positive feedback under their section after that release as being one of the easiest to buy, and everyone was pretty happy with it. Wouldn't things go much easier if everyone did that? Instead of this random bullshit? I mean with LITA selling something at random like that...it turns out to be just like a Mondo thing, which everyone hates. Maybe I'm wrong? It just sucks to have had their site loaded on my work computer, personal computer, and phone so I could play the refresh game all day today to get it - only to wake up and find out it's already gone. I guess we were expected to stay up at midnight and start refreshing all night?

I wouldn't blame LITA or DW. I would think a lot of the blame should be placed on flippers or guys buying several versions of each album.

I'm a little bummed I missed the variant drop this morning. I live on the East Coast (Atlanta) and was up for work by 7AM. It was already gone! Cant imagine anyone on the west coast being awake to snag a copy.

LITA came though on the RSD releases earlier this week, so I can't really complain. At least this gives my wallet a rest.
