Haha this is awesome!

I did the same thing with my friends in highschool

The super 8 gives it all some great texture.

Deadwaxed email me
Nathan great pics .

Really happy to announce that out of our next 8 releases 5 covers are by artists that we have either discovered or have never been used by our competition before.
Discovering or bringing artists not known for film posters or record art is really exciting for me as I am a huge art fan, , I have seen the sleeves and I gotta tell you , they look totally rad.

Hoping you guys will be stoked.
Mine had a ton of static which needed removing as it was causing lots of noise. The actual pressing is fine.
Thank you lazyben!

Yep...you just can't peel an Lp out and expect no noise if you are not cleaning it first...every now and then you MIGHT get lucky but 9 out of 10 times is isn't sounding good out of the box

Just want to thank DW and LITA for making Maniac available in the US. I much prefer this version over the Mondo version! So, thanks!

Enjoyed the Rendezvous mix, thanks for that.
Here’s the tracks I recognised, would need another listen to place more.

The Roger Webb Orchestra – Theme From Hammer House Of Horror (Chips Records, 1980)
Ennio Morricone (Vocals: Christy) – Deep Down (Parade, 1968)
Riz Ortolani – Mafia Bianca (CAM, 1973)
Luciano Simoncini ‎– Sinfonia Della Paura (Regal, 1975)
Franco Micalizzi – Jessica’s Theme (CAM, 1974)
Walter Schuman – Pretty Fly/Lullaby (Finders Keepers, 2014)
Franco Micalizzi – Bargain With The Devil (CAM, 1974)
Orchestra Rizzati ‎– Lo Scoiattolo (Duse, 1980)

Pretty certain there was another Riz Ortolani, and a couple of those synth tracks I’m sure I know, but I can’t place them.

Super 8 does indeed give some good textures. The video transfer was done about 26 years ago and looks awful, though. I recently enquired about getting a proper transfer done by a company in London, but it was going to cost too much. When I play the Super 8 film I'm amazed at how detailed the image is... I keep meaning to make a follow up (I did start one at uni called 'Curse of the Screaming Undead' in which Coventry is haunted by the ghost of a dead German bomber pilot and another called 'Walking Dead at Coventry Cathedral' that featured a zombie massacre in the ruins of the bombed Cathedral, but I didn't really have time and now with family, I have even less time. A few years back I toyed with the idea of a 'follow up' to Living Dead at Manchester Morgue, except set in a city - it was going to be called 'Dead on the Street' but I decided to have kids instead and my heart wasn't really in it anymore.)

I guess these days it'd be a doddle. Super 8 was hard work, especially when it came to sound... Although I think film just looks better, I don't quite know why.

It is for people who attended the Frizzi 2 Fulci event. It was also supposed to be a surprise bonus to Sub 3 members, which I hope is still the case.

Was the mystery of the '30 years old' soundtrack ever solved?

Watched Starman yesterday, that's 30 this year, has an Oscar-winning composer, plus there's an established Carpenter/DW link…
