Just had some lovely sleeve notes from John Carpenter for a forthcoming reissue of one of our earlier titles.

My latest acquisition from LITA came with the Spring Summer catalogue, it's amazing how long it has been since I've handled a good old cheap Newsprint Catalogue! But there is an ad in the back for Death Waltz listing in order"
Twin Peaks
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me
All the colours of the dark
The Beyond
City of the Living Dead
Godzilla

Now I've heard that I will be getting the last two titles through my Bare Bones sub., but I wonder about the others, I'm really excited about the Beyond, but haven't heard anything about that yet, I will be getting the Twin Peaks titles, but it would be a treat if they were part of the Sub. before it finishes!

@revolver :
I posted on the board somewhere a screen shot of a facebook post on the death waltz page, Twin peaks are not part of sub 4

That would be great. I've been eyeballing the rather expensive secondhand copies of The Beyond lately as I missed out on it the first go around, so seeing a repress would save me a LOT of money (which I will in turn spend on more records from DW :))

I'm sure I read it on here or Facebook that The Beyond will be on sub 5 and All The Colors Of The Dark is now on FK.

From what I gathered Death Waltz are releasing All the Colours of the Dark separate to the Finders Keepers release - but could be wrong?

BTW, Looking forward to some of these purported reissues of the early Death Waltz releases coming Autumn / Halloween time. The recent DW releases in the thick card, tip-on jackets with spines you can actually read look truly superb. imagine having ZFE or LDAMM or some of the Carpenter releases in those beauts. That's what I'm hoping for anyway, someone on here (can't remember who? sorry!) said they'd seen some mention of them coming on LITA. Perhaps you could elaborate Spencer? Or is now not the time? Your last post certainly whet the appetite :D

All I know is what I read in that Light in the Attic ad. I wonder if Beyond refers to Beyond the Black Rainbow? Regardless I know that City of the Living Dead and Godzilla are the first 2 in the Sub. I'm really optimistic about the next 4 titles!
I really, really hope that Zombi 2 is reissued again, The last title I am missing in my collection! My MP3 version is a really bad double title with Cannibal Ferox, and each piece ends abruptly before starting the next, poor mastering I guess (No Gap?) LOL!

I read somewhere that all the Carpenters would be re-released with an extra vinyl with cues or something like that - anyone hear about this?

Just wanted to say a big thanks! to the good folk at Death Waltz. One of my RSD releases had a damaged jacket, and they very kindly sent me a replacement!

I am excited about any of the reissues. I missed them as I was a little late to the DW party, and I don't want to pay ebay/discogs prices. The nicer packaging is a huge plus too.

Now let me ask the collectors on the board. Would you be upset with the reissues? Or is having the first editions enough?

Pretty sure all of the early DW releases are still easily available. Except maybe Zombi 2.

I've always held out hope that we could purchase new sleeves for our existing releases, but if there's new music on there (news to me) that complicates things a bit.

I haven't seen mention anywhere of new music on these reissues, just the new liner notes and sleeve. In the case of Zombie Flesh Eaters, it's newly remastered. We should also consider this hasn't been officially announced yet, just mentioned on the LITA pages for these releases, so that info, while I'm sure it came from Spencer, might not be final, given that it's a Fall release.

I'm definitely not assuming anything, but I am damn sure doing a great deal of wishy thinking about getting those new sleeves.
