@philball1974 free delivery over £50, even £60 would mean I would be buying a lot more from DW. I'm a subber but there are certain titles which I fancied having both variants of, but the postage costs have stopped me indulging recently. Especially when I can walk into Piccadilly records and pick up the "shop" versions for about £17.00.
To be fair, the DW stuff is heavy and always arrives in mint condition, just wish that four items wouldn't cost nearly £20 to post out.

P&P is always a painful experience. Jurassic Park and the Visitor recently cost me $97 with shipping to the UK

UK P&P is reasonable but if you have to order from EU or even US, it gets stingy. A reduction on multiple items would ease that a bit. Guess DW has it's reasons.

yep, Creepshow and Day of The Dead both cost me $30 postage each and that was direct from Waxwork. I then ended up getting a green Creepshow from amazon for about £13 including postage.
Not dissing these labels but it's depressing when postage costs, especially from US to EU / EU to US mean buyers miss out on some releases. I'd love to picked up The Visitor at a decent price but with two small kids and a mortgage, I had to let it go.

I, too, wish DW would base the shipping cost on actual costs - or at least something close to it.

If I order 1 LP it's £7 shipping to EU. If I add the Frizzi flexi, which weights nothing, it's an extra £7...

I don't get the system, if you get Le Matos 2xLP and The Fog 2xLP you do get less shipping when combining those. Other items just add up on the shipping. Also if you get 2 distributed items the shipping is the same as if you buy one. If you want the Matos and get some of the AMS stuff or Liles LP that'll save you some on shipping. The distributed items are probably shipped from elsewhere.

Fresh topic... have read various posts suggesting that early Death Waltz titles are getting the deluxe re-release treatment this Autumn and wondered if this will include 'They Live'?

All mention of this particular vinyl seems to have disappeared from the re-vamped DW website.

Missed out on a copy the first time around - was after the blue/purple split - and wondered if I should hold off tracking one down at inflated prices online if a 'new and improved' batch is on the way?

Anyone can confirm? Thanks!

I'm sure I saw Mr. Hickman reassuring someone on Twitter who was asking about a re-release of LTROI, that it was "all in hand". I hope so, was thinking of purchasing the original DW version but I think I'll hold out for a sexier bigger artwork/colour version :)

I presume this extends to most of the earlier releases (the ones with the thick blue/black border)? :)

They Live is a great score, and one of the top 5 that DW have released. I personally don't care about variants or buying more than one of an album, but i would definitely recommend buy it in some guise.

Saw the swirl on Discogs for only $135 if thats your thing!!

'Only' $135 on Discogs... hmm, that's why I'm hoping They Live will be granted the 'new improved' treatment!!

Strange that it isn't even showing in the deleted section of the DW website, though guess shouldn't read anything into that

Has it been officially announced anywhere which titles are getting the super deluxe re-issue treatment..?

Presume Zombi is a dead cert (forgive the pun!)... but as to the others, guess we'll have to await word from on high?

Have succumbed and ordered that Join US LP in the meantime to add to my 'haul of shame' :)

Spencer said sometime ago that there's a Carpenter boxset on the way so expect all them to be reissued in some way and 6 sub 1 records will definetly be repressed (oct ish last I heard) certainly with the expanded artwork but not sure if expended gatefold sleeves etc

being far from a aficionado of soundtracks, can someone help me identify the first track on the DW Halloween Mix 2013 Part 2?

I'm sure it's some classic I'm just not familiar with and
I've heard Spencer spin it in his Rendezvous sets as well.

Oddly enough I have just been working on some represses as most have been out of stock for a long time.

here are the ones we are working on at the moment
DW001
DW002
DW005
DW006
DW007
DW008
DW009

All will have gatefold sleeves and all new liner notes / booklets DW001 will be a newly remastered version (mastered at Abby Road!)

should all be realy for the fall.
These will be on coloured vinyl.

Interesting news Spencer, cheers.

I guess too early to find out about individual colour ways for those re-press titles?

Will this be the way forward for DW from now on, all titles remaining in print in some shape or form... and presumably different to those they were originally released in, to keep the 'early adopters' happy that they still have a 'limited' product?

Yikes, may have to break my 'no double dipping' rule if there is a 'new and improved' Zombi Flesh Eaters score...

Tentacles is bad ass and a pretty nifty bit of cheese film-wise as well. Spencer tweeted a picture of it a couple of years back andthe cover stuck with me for so long that I eventually sought out the score and then the film. Great stuff.
