Hi all,

I've bitten the bullet and am having to sell some of my Mondo collection (alongside some other prized slabs of vinyl).

The LPs are up on Discogs (http://www.discogs.com/seller/JasonAdored). Take a look if you fancy it, they'll be some more titles going up soon (sadly).

Before you grumble, I know my prices aren't cheap but the whole point of this is to cover some bills so that I don't end up having to sell even more of my collection. I've had all this stuff from new and it feels like saying goodbye to family...but it's better than saying goodbye to the house, ha!

I had no clue Kasbian stuff had jumped in price. I have everything they put out. But no way I am selling it.

I'm not grumbling as I'm not interested in buying these but you're asking more then either of them has EVER sold for on discogs and most of the people who would have been desperate for a copy already have one.

If you actually need to sell them you might want to think about that. Stuff is worth what someone will pay for it, not what you might like to get for it and the prices other would-be sellers list items for may not always be a good guide as some of them seriously need to step away from the crack pipe.

I hear you lazyben - but in all fairness, the Discogs engine gave me a suggested price which I've basically followed, but I decided to add the 'make me an offer' button.

I've had two offers on each record so far - neither of them too far south of the figure and I'll probably take them up over the weekend.

Do I like the fact that I'm effectively fueling the insane prices some records are fetching these days? Christ no.

But it's certainly a relief that shifting some of these titles which I don't tend to spin very often is likely to work in bailing me out of a situation.

As for the Kasabian disc jdubtxn... I had no idea either. I saw the prices on Discogs and threw in a Popsike hunt and figured it was worth a go...
