I think the best decision would be... having an online form to gather the PayPal email addresses of people who are after the blood-filled variant and then choose random 100 out of them and send invoices via PayPal.

Warp are doing something similar with the deluxe vinyl edition of "Syro" from Aphex Twin. Put your name and email forward to buy and if you get picked, you can buy it or decline and someone else gets the chance.
