Oh guys, I hope some of you knew about the drop this morning for the 2nd pressing of PERTURBATOR's album "Dangerous Days". They had a Pink glow in the dark vinyl edition and they had this to say on the perturbator page

About the Dangerous Days repress !
Regarding the specialty vinyl we mentioned in the Perturbator "Dangerous Days" repress. We've decided to go ahead and spring for a Glow-in-the-Dark pressing, which costs us 7 TIMES (!!) the LP materials-cost of pressing normal black vinyl.

We do realize that other labels have attempted Glow-in-the-Dark pressings, but almost all of those records are pressed into gimmicky cheap plastic in order to obtain the desired effect for a reasonable price. We were told by the head of vinyl production that in his entire time at our plant, only one other label - a VERY MAJOR label - has ever ordered this from them.

Why? This is going to be pressed onto actual audiophile-quality virgin vinyl, and the color must be specially mixed just for us for a one time pressing just for them. No one else is crazy enough to spring for this sort of thing.

We've already received several advance orders from employees at the plant because some of them have never even seen this before.

This will be a strictly limited one-time pressing, and we will not repress this color, just as we will not repress the original Perturbator splatter config.

Pre-orders are just over the horizon. Stay tuned.

Will it sound better than the other GITD variants we've seen/heard so far ? Maybe, maybe not. In any case, they have a blue/red split colored edition, like 3d glasses colors, and a regular black edition as well.

Any of you who got Le MATOS should jump on this. the album features a collaboration with CARPENTER BRUT on one track. and Carpenter Brut is also something not to be missed.

I don't see a color version. I do see 3D anaglyph whatever that is...

3d anaglyph is the color version, texasvinyl. It's the split blue/red, made to look like 3d glasses colors.

Ah, makes sense. I am over my mobile data threshold (wahhh) so couldn't preview the tracks, but I bought blind since you say it's good like Le Matos! I think I had to buy a deluxe version with a CD. Thing was $38 + very high media mail charge @ $8.50

Is there one site with a detailed list of all vinyl releases? Or better yet, what is the best site for finding out what is coming out?

Preoders for Mark Lanegan's somewhat different Phantom Radio record are now up and widely available from the usual outlets for a 20/21st Oct release (UK types can now hear lead track Harvest Home on Spotify or as a 99p iTunes download), not sure about the US edition but the UK one is 500 on black, 500 (via indie stores) on white.
There's a CD/Download deluxe edition that also includes the recent No Bells On Sunday EP, and a remix version is scheduled for January with reworkings from Greg Dulli, Josh Homme, Moby, James Lavelle and others.

There is not one but two new LPs out from mono shortly on temporary residence. I nearly missed this and there must be other people on here who like them. There is a limited die cut gatefold edition with both albums on colored vinyl that is 75% gone.

@lazyben - thank you! I hadn't seen that either, and I love Mono! I own lots of albums from TRL, great record label. I was able to grab the limited edition set too, very exciting!

October 20. One of those bands who I have loved since I began loving music. It's a possibility however that anyone living outside the North West of England may not share this enthusiasm :)

Our Lord John Peel gave me an affection for the biscuits by repeatedly playing trumpton riots. I do miss Peely :)

Heads up! Realy weird (but a lot seem to like it) and special record at newonvinyl.com ! Note that this isn't like the single lp that already is on the market, its a double lp this time.. What do you guys think?

Limited Reissue of "Mr. Bungle" By Mr. Bungle on PURPLE Transparent colored vinyl. Double LP. Only 2000 on Colored vinyl. Including Insert.

Mr. Bungle is the eponymous debut studio album album by American band Mr. Bungle, released in 1991. The album contains many genre shifts which are typical of the band, and helped increase the band’s popularity, gaining them a reasonable following and fanbase.

Critics deem the album a ‘dizzying, disconcerting, schizophrenic tour through just about any rock style the group can think of, hopping from genre to genre without any apparent rhyme or reason, and sometimes doing so several times in the same song.’ Mike Patton’s lyrics are even more bizarrely humorous than those he used in Faith No More, and they’re also less self-censored, as titles like “Squeeze Me Macaroni,” “My Ass Is on Fire,” and “The Girls of Porn” indicate. This is a difficult, not very accessible record, and the band wouldn’t have it any other way.

Incredibly, the original vinyl version of Mr. Bungle was pressed on a single LP, which – with an album duration of 75 minutes – had a rather dull dynamic sound as a result. For the Music On Vinyl version, we’ve added another LP side to give the music more space to breathe. To top it off, it boasts a unique etch on the D-side!

The new Night Terrors record Pavor Nocturnus (which basically also means Night Terrors) is now up for pre-order!
Adding Melbourne Town Hall's bloody huge pipe organ to everything else already in there, I can't wait... And only AU$6.83 postage from Oz to the UK!

@Si

Have been waiting for this one... any yummy vinyl variants this time, or just the black?

Also, from a previous post where Spencer recommended this band, got the impression there might be some DW distro for this latest title for us UK folk, though may be completely wrong as he didn't confirm either way... (may actually be cheaper from Oz anyway!)

Yeah, I was thinking that this might end up as a DW Original, but I'm impatient and the price from Off White is just too tempting. Just black as far as I know, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do something colourful and rare through their bandcamp page like they did with Spiral Vortex.

Have ordered from oz also. That multi coloured vortex was stunning. Found a copy in belgium. Good old Belgium, OWS, lovely chocolate and Poirot.

VESSEL - PUNISH, HONEY

Just got this. It's on Tri Angle records, which has been close to the witch-house electro scene, I've got a feeling they're trying to not go too far into witch-house, and push towards dark electronics that pushes the boundaries.

For anyone who likes "THE HAXAN CLOAK" and dark moody electro beats, music for the night, this might just be one of my favorite electronic album of this year.
