If anyone wants to get really revved up for this, I can't recommend highly enough the Shout Factory DOTD bluray and the accompanying feature length doc about the film, "World's End" - exhaustive retrospective on the film, including a detailed look at the score and the reaction to it (I had no idea that it was so controversial and even hated at the time! Bloomin' fans, eh?)
On it's first release, I saw the film at least five times during it's one-week run,skipping school every day to watch again and again. I have to agree with both Romero and Savini - for me it's their unflinching zombie masterpiece. And Harrison's brilliant music elevates it to another level, bringing soul and warmth to a generally very bleak and downbeat movie.
