Nice to see this reissued but I've overspent so will have to enjoy my old crackly one for a while longer!

Wow, €35 is a pretty big markup, I guess it has to reflect cost to ship US-->Germany.

This was $20.50 from Hot Topic (~€17). I ended up buying a copy on eBay for $36 with the "make an offer" button.

It's a really cool soundtrack!

If you want to listen to some Tyler Bates I recommend The Watchmen. I passed on it for years and finally picked it up for $10 new. The score is much better than I'd remembered!

I don't think I've seen any mention get of the newest soundtrack by Johann Johannsson, The Theory Of Everything.

Seems a bit expensive though...$48 on Amazon. It's $25 if you order from the Johann Johannsson site, but the cheapest shipping is $7, bringing it to $32. Kinda pricey for a short OST. It sounds very different from his previous work, but that isn't a negative at all. It sounds beautiful.

It was an unusually modern soundtrack to find a used copy of at a Half Price Books! I have seen it for sale other places new for about $15. This is the Tyler Bates score, not the compilation soundtrack which I think is tougher to find.

it would be nice if Jaws was the deluxe edition Decca released (CD) several years back

if these are just represses with nothing new or special, what's the point? these soundtracks are pretty easy to find, but we have all talked about this many times over.

Too true, too true. I must have come across these two hundreds of times over the years of digging and its always Jaws that has way more play and in poorer condition. Savoury over sweet every time, hee hee.

I think Jaws a lot of the Jaws pressings just werent that good to begin with, I gave up on finding a noise free copy after trying several times.(Including NOS sealed copies) while the standard EU pressing of E.T. is an awesome sounding album.
I'm definately going to order the new ones, curious how they turn out, expanded editions would be nice, particularly with E.T., since the expanded edition is an entirely different performance/recording.
(Although the original album release is still probably my favorite)

Titles like Jaws and E.T. are great candidates for new album artwork. A missed opportunity.

I agree. If Jaws was to get some Death Waltz treatment I'm sure it would be breathtaking.
