Okay…now this is pretty cool.

Enjoy the Ride Records has announced their new sub label, titled “Enjoy The Toons Records.” It’s a “label created with the sole purpose of putting out short vinyl runs of nostalgic cult following animated franchises.” The label will put out two releases simultaneously tomorrow 3/11 at noon.

The label’s first release will include a 41 Track, single LP compilation that will be titled “The Best of Nicktoons.” This will include music from classic ’90s Nicktoon cartoons like The Rugrats, The Ren and Stimpy Show, Kablam, Aaahh!!!! Real Monsters!, The Angry Beavers, Hey Arnold, Rocko’s Modern Life, & Catdog. This release will be limited to 500 copies on Orange and Green Slime Swirl Vinyl (obviously), for $23.99.

The second release will be dedicated to Mr. Doug Funny himself, and will be titled “Songs From Bluffington.” It will be a split 7″ featuring 6 songs by “Doug & The Beets.” The 7″ is a tribute album, not originals from the show.

This release is limited to 500 copies for $8.91.

Electric Blue With Lighting Bold A Side Label — 100
Beet Purple — 200
Green & Brown Split — 200
Shirts will also be released at the same time for $12 each. There will also be a combination option where you can get all three variants, the shirt, and something called a “Beets Tour Pass” (seen below) for 45.99.

The amount of nostalgia packed into this release is enough to make me vomit (in a good way).

Both releases will be available at the set time, LINK!

Oh wow, I know it's kind of silly, but I'm pretty I'm all about this! Nostalgia to the max!

Thanks, cult!

Hmm, looks like the Doug 7" is a 'tribute' as opposed to the original music. I'll probably pass on that one.

Yeah I passed on Doug also. The blue version sold out in seconds though.

M|O|O|N EP and Particles EP represses are up for sale. He did some of the music for Hotline: Miami.

Someone put this on reddit already, so these will go really fast. They were originally sold by mail order only, so I don't know how many of the /100 copies of EP1 are still available.

Nicktoons LP now sold out. Thanks again for the heads-up. That one was completely off my radar.

Wow, I wish I could have picked up that nicktoons LP before it sold out! Nostalgia is a powerful thing. Do you guys think it's a "bootleg" release? I can't imagine that they would be able to secure the rights for sooo many high-profile cartoon shows like that. Who knows...

Oh yes, thank you! This is a Grail for me, and I assumed I was just going to have to pick up both albums seperately. Easily my number one album for the fall. Throw this one on and watch the leaves turn!

Is this for Europe only? Popol Vuh suggested on Facebook last year that a different label (who shall remain nameless as I don't want to spoil anything) were to release it in the US?

I saw that same post from them, but I ordered from spencer anyway since who know when that one will come out, too much of a Grail for me to pass it up. Plus, this is one I may double dip on anyway....I have a Dracula problem :)

Stangely I've seen that Popol Vuh used more than any other over the years. Looks like it just has the same material that was included in the Herzog box set a few years ago.

@deafmetal Yeah the CD box, but that was beautifuly put together. Bonus tracks, great packaging and sounds amazing. I have all the other Popol stuff on vinyl, but was satisfied enough with that box to never double buy those ones on wax unless a deal was to be had (which has happened with one or two).

TAG have you heard a copy? I have had good luck with the "shady" Euro reissue labels like WaxTime and Doxy, but ive heard bad things about a couple of the doxy soundtracks.

The Wrong Man is a straight copy from the Film Score Monthly CD. Interesting that Doxy is listed as 'Russian Federation' when looking it up on the Forced Exposure site.
