@dagar, must have walked right past you! Queued with friends over night, it was quieter than it has been in the past. Picked up Northern Soul, power glove, Utopia, 30 days, Darjeeling Ltd, BBW, Night Satan, Shogun, the Ennio Morricone, the Virgin Suicides and gert wilden. Nat is putting a copy of the Moomins single to one side for me when it eventually arrives... Hope you managed to pick up everything you wanted.

Didn't see Night Satan at either store here in NC. Plenty of these Utopia and Darjeeling Limited available as well. I think each store only carried 1 copy of the 7" Psycho album so didn't get it.

Just got back. My big coup was landing all three Brian May soundtracks. There were only two of each. I was talking to a guy in line before the store opened, and we both agreed that whoever could grab them first, get a set for the other person. So I got to make someone happy ... for once ...

I also got the Shogun Assassin soundtrack and picked up The Pagans and Oneohtrix Point Never. For CDs, I got the new Godspeed, two Hammock titles, and a Really Red retrospective.

I didn't get Spasmo or Big Bad Wolves. I'm hoping to pick them up later.

I picked up Spasmo with the 'breast mouth' at Head in Leamington Spa (They had a few copies of both versions). It's brilliant!

Also picked up the Field Music soundtrack to a 1929 silent movie. It's called 'Music for Drifter' and is also very good indeed.

Non soundtrack stuff was a Jethro Tull live album and a Hawkwind live album.

I didn't see the DW albums, although to be honest, I didn't really know what they were. I didn't see Shogun Assassin, but did see another Morricone that was 30 quid.

I like how people get to see the records before buying. At Piccadilly Records you just buy everything blind otherwise the day wouldn't be possible for them to control.

I arrived at 6:30am & got served about 11am. Like a lot of people on here I got Darjeeling, Shogun Assassin, Field Music, Oneohtrix.

I also picked up 7"s by J Dilla, Bowie, The Zombies, a Jon Hopkins 10" & 12"s by Run The Jewels & Courtney Barnett.

Least I've spent on RSD for a good while.

I saw Night Satan in the first shop I went into and took a gamble it would be there when I went back. You can probably guess what happened. :(

Picked up a couple of things (including that weird baseball game record, it looked interesting and I thought why not) but no soundtrack stuff. Spencer, we need to talk :)

I popped into South records in Southend around lunchtime. It was quiet and I scored The Darjeeling Limited which was on my list.

@Liftman

That's funny - had no idea you were 'local' - small world - especially with people on this forum being from all over the globe, with a bias towards the States from what I can gather.

I'm impressed in that Banquet seems to have a pretty good spread of all the hottest titles - and you can sort of browse. Popped into Phonica in town this afternoon to track down the elusive Moomins single (scored!) but it was like trying to get served at a bar on Xmas eve by comparison. On the plus side that meant virtually no queue - had done enough of that this morning - as was more of a free for all. Interesting comparing the different shops' tactics. In Sister Ray they sent you downstairs 5 at a time to 'find a member of staff' who would take your order from a printed list and then fetch it from the stock room. Seemed a bit ad hoc.

Was about five back in the queue for South and I can't say it was a bad experience but not a terribly enjoyable one. The problem is it only has to get about ten people in there and it's packed. Good to support the local though.

I wanted BBW, Cinevox and Shogun. Didn't see Shogun, so if you can hook us up @Spencer that would be nice! Then I saw the prices for BBW and Cinevox, €50 and €100!!! That's just not right ;-( Left pretty bummed about the whole RSD craze.

I have to be honest looking at which stores ordered our releases and in what quantities i am not surprised they sold out everywhere , Nightstan is still has copies in the warehouse so people were obviously being cautious this year, it's a bummer for me as much as you guys, thing is I can't make shops order up and I suppose we did press more last year so they hung around..

Spencer - can you give any official word on Nightsatan in the US? It seems it wasn't as available as Big Bad Wolf, as many shops had that but not Nightsatan. Wondering how easy it will be to get online from maybe LITA later.
