Just got this in at work today. I've been wanting this record for so many years and it's nice to finally own a copy.

^ @datadiscs - I've listened through Double Life of Veronique and it's excellent. I wouldn't be surprised if these are simple straight ports to vinyl of the CD masters, but they sure sound good in any event.

@Spun: Vol. 3 is packed with joyous 60's beat tunes, really cool stuff that I can describe as easy listening. Vol.4 it's even more interesting because there are a lot of different styles, from acid rock to jazzy and some other classic "giallo" scores! I think Criminale series become better with every new release! ;)

Great score. Haven't seen that pressing before. Japanese reissue? Here's what mine looks like

Obviously, Hans Zimmer's Gladiator is a landmark soundtrack. Christopher Young is a favorite of mine, I'm always super happy to add to the collection. Carrie was super cheap, so I thought I'd try it because I liked Marco Beltrami's score to World War Z.

@nathanlurker - carrie is quite dark and spooky as hell in places. i love it. the movie blew, however.

Found this nuts Halloween 45 - Japanese pressing in Shibuya. Released on Columbia (LK-115) in 1979 it's even got the 'Black cats and goblins and witches and ghosts ...' chant.

Nice score, the 7" is great, and doesn't show up often.

It's so crazy to me that so many OST LP has a 7" to go with it.

Mail day: Alessandro Alessandroni - Butterfly (really amazing) and Tower of Power (haven't given it a listen yet) . A neat Cometa free shirt, but in a size Schmedium so I am gifting it to a friend.

@Season of The Wax - any more Far East finds? The Japanese 'hieroglyphics' take these vinyl packages to a whole new level..

In the meantime have just received this double dose of Mondo madness:

Great to see new liner notes from Stephen Thrower. His writing in the Cannibal Holocaust DW/OWS package was exceptional... well done Spencer.
