Solid library from this great french library label founded by french jazz pianist Robert Viger.

This one is full of psych tinged jazz, rock, and beat grooves.

Picked this up at lunchtime rifling through some crates... don't know much about it, but sounding like the past, present and future all at once

... basically it's the entire output of labels like Clay Pipe and Ghost Box, with (Moog) knobs on.

"Val Podlasinski worked as sales manager for Moog Music in Buffalo. The first album was created on Moog synthesizers only. Others are library LPs."

I shall be hence forth investigating Mr Podlasinski's oeuvre...

Music Pour L'image label is classic and is holding some crazy jewels in it's vaults @ Dollarhyde! i would love to have some in my collection...

yesterday i was listening to this [again]. next to Nel Mondo Del Lavoro this is my absolute favourite and most consistent De Filippi record. he is a genius but i feel most of his output is not really consistent and has like 2 or 3 killer tunes and the rest is average. Ritmicolor is rocking all the way through. highly recommended and still not overhyped in the collectors world...

Rino! I still need to grab the Riflessi reish, it's a shame sonor only offer digital downloads through their bandcamp sales. I love my vinyl but a digital download is a great bonus for the commute.

What's a bit odd and a little frustrating is that Sonor only offer the digital with the vinyl from thier bandcamp, no digital only. :P

Still, nothing but love for those dudes, reissuing unknown grails the way it should be done (bar my previous whinge about downloads).

@Dollar: Riflessi is the kind of de Filippi record I am talking about. it has like 2 outstanding tracks but the rest is pretty mediocre in my opinion.

you and Mateo are right. there's nothing wrong with a download code for new records. i was always dreaming of Death Waltz having this kind of thing...i would possibly purchase every single release then. (so actually thanks @Spence for not having DL codes, haha!)

Typically, It cost additional money to license digital copies of a release.
And literally only a small percentage of them are ever redeemed even though you still have to pay to license the total number of digital copies.
Also someone else could already owns the digital rights (not likely with these obscure releases) so they are excluded from the license.
Also consider the extra expense for printing DL cards as well as the cost of having each card stuffed inside a release (again a small amount but still adds expense to a project).

Also the Underground Set - War In The Night Before reissue is really good, if you liked the Psycheground LP (same guys, and who doesn't like that one?) then you'll love War In the Night Before. It's heavy and kicks serious ass.

i wonde if this is going to be the Percussioni Ed Effetti Speciali 2LP or the even more amazing Effetti Musicali. both of them are great but the Effetti Musicali from the Serie Sonorizzazioni is killing it. the pressing and sound quality is just insane.

New release up on Pheon records website. Not sure I'll jump on this to be honest going by the description, I'm holding out for the new Sonor's and Cinedelics. Here's the gumpf:

Anyway, about £1000+ worth of music here, and not a duff track within earshot. Legendary composers too - Alessandroni, Torossi, De Masi, Marinuzzi Jnr etc. Get ti while you can - 500 vinyl copies only, no download, no repress no nothing.

The five Intermezzi series records (big, big, big want list items for me if anyone is trading copies) and SR titles like Indefinitive Atmosphere and a few of the Alessandroni cost $600-$1000+ each. Open Air Parade, Nel Mondo Del Lavoro, there are some real holy grails.

A comp like this, if the selections are good, would be a great way to get a taste of what the legendary Sermi catalog has to offer without the punishing prices. I can't find a track list, but since this (I believe) is Jonny Trunk I suspect the picks will be in good taste.

It will probably end up stateside at the usual places.

I don't get the claim about the SR name being off limits. Wasn't an issue I think for example for the Omni reissue of Citta Notte.

I'm intrigued and appreciate your post about this.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's a very carefully curated compilation of songs, it just get's my back up a little when monetary amounts are quoted is all. Sure, it may cost over £1000 to obtain the original pressings containing these songs but this is surely a different beast and not comparable. I guess i'm also a little bummed that this follows such a great release. On a side note, does anyone know when the new Cinedelics or Sonor's are going to land? I hope they end up on Bandcamp as the digital files really are a great bonus as mentioned previously in this thread.

The Macchi and Underground Set releases are already out as are the Sonor (America Amore, Riflessi, Africa minima, Pop Paraphrenia etc). The next batch of Sonor I heard were slated for RSD, and no idea on the three Cinedelic's shown in the test pressings.

I do agree it is maybe gaudy to talk about a compilation in money terms especially when the music speaks for itself.

Finally tracked one of these down. One hell of a western by Macchi -- I guess quality trumps quantity (did he do any others or just this one?). I like the jacket art too.
