I'm gonna have to go back and listen to Sea Fantasy again. I don't remember being offended by the sound like I was for that crappy batch of Contempos a little while back.

Also quick to go were an OG Il Corpo for an eye bleeding 1100 euros and an Inchiesta Giudiziaria on Octopus (reissued as "abormal sensations" by FK imprint Cacophonic)

There was an Echoing America on Discogs ? I can't remember the last time I saw one on there. Il Corpo is so, so good. But not that good.

It was listed for 400 euros. Sick as it is (thats too much I think) I would have considered it... Cometa did a CD release of it in 2013, someone who speaks Italian needs to beg Ivana to press an LP.

Still too rich for my blood. I have the 2015 Schema reissue. Not sure how it compare to the 1999 Easy Tempo 2xLP reissue, but I'd love to know.

In regard to Sea Fantasy, just gave it a spin after reading the comments here. I remember when I first got the reissue I was a bit thrown by the sound quality. Not hearing the original I wasn't sure if the narrow sound was due to the original recording. Although a little underwhelmed I was optimistic, what with Jonny Trunk being involved and a first release for what sounded like a promising new label.
At the time I shrugged off my concerns even though listening to the vinyl didn't give me that gut good feeling that a quality piece of vinyl gives.

So in light of other peoples doubts I've given it another spin (not listened since I first picked it up), and in light of those doubts I have to concur that this release does not sound good at all. Kind of sounds like it was recorded through a drain pipe, not good.

Why this is I dont know Johnny Trunk has always been bang on with other reissues, and his been doing it for long time.

Although not the norm some og libraries can sound I bit poor, but it seems here that that isn't the reason. :(

Yeah the music kind of covers the bases, a bizarrely wide range of tracks for TV, radio and ads. Favorite cut: https://www.instagram.com/p/BB6BTXcDLJd/ but other cues would be more appropriate for the procession of a Catholic Mass. Real mixed bag, not all of it is compelling like the funky Hammond organ track.

POLL - what do you think an archive original copy of La Poliziotta would auction for? Or what is a "fair" price? I shouldn't even be asking. But I have never seen one "on the table" before now.

Yes, but only a couple have traded and it's been awhile. So I thought it would be a little fun to speculate!

I guess it depends how much you want the record. I think Ive heard clips of it but its never been on my wants list for some reason, there's another ferrio lp Im after though ;)

I would say generally once a rare record enters the £100 - £150 it has to be a real long time want for me to drop the moolah.

Also the climate for italian libraries is making them pricier than ever. They will drop again at some point I reckon.

I would like to say $300-400, but if it's truly an archive copy, I bet one could expect to add another $100-200 on top of that. Perhaps the Four Flies reissue would bring those numbers down, but that is my guess in the current climate absent of the reissue.
