Hi everyone !

I ordered in the first minute of the twitter annoucement my Rosemary's release. The only confirmation i had was from paypal, Waxworks didn't send me any order confirmation. Am I the only one or is it normal ?

Thank you.

Looking back over my receipts from Day of the Dead, it looks like we got a PayPal receipt for the order and then an email from Waxworks when the order was going to ship. So we ordered in August and got our ship notice in October. What we're seeing for Rosemary's Baby should be fine.

To clarify, our Rosemary's Baby release is the actual film score transferred from the original 1968 master tapes. It's never been released on vinyl.

All LP versions of Rosemary's Baby, such as the original DOT Records release, are a 1968 re-recording of Komeda's score.

We wanted to do something different, and release the actual film score. It's open, and creepy, and sounds like they literally mic'd off satanic covens chanting and rattle snakes shaking. It's a great score.

WW, cool i had to read your comment a few times to understand what you wrote, and the release sounds even more awesome now.

Looks like it's not too far away... Just needs someone to put records in all those lovely sleeves.

Officially counting down the days now until this washes up on the shores of the UK........remember people, we will soon be hearing the unreleased, ORIGINAL recordings (from the master tapes!!) of this extraordinary score. This is unfeasibly exciting, if you're a believer in the genius of Krzyzstof Komeda!

Nice. I'd love to know what's borking this thread though.

Really looking forward to "Rosemary". According to Waxwork, these are the different versions:

- Clear - Limited to ?
- Crystal clear - Limited to 500
- Black and burgundy haze - Limited to ?
- Double sided blue and deep red vinyl - Limited to 200

Is this correct? Can anyone put some numbers on the first three? And what is the difference between Clear and Crystal clear?

Originally they had said it will be pressed onto 180 gram black and crystal clear center haze vinyl.
Perhaps that's what they're referring to.

Hey Tony, I know that both Milque&Muhle and Polar Bear have this pre-ordered...they are distrib thru Southern in the UK.

I'm just going to be patient from now on in with Waxwork etc as those stores always get the goods eventually. I think with Waxwork their release date is when they start shipping from their HQ, and I can only imagine being a very small company that that means shipping quantities to overseas distrib hubs on that date too....so they'll possibly land in UK stores in a week or so? In any event, quicker than if you place order direct from the source I would guess.

I remember being over-excited about pre-ordering their first release Reanimator through Amazon, thinking it was gonna land on the release date, and then over weeks slowly penny dropping that something was wrong there - eventually cancelled it and got from a store. Would never trust a release date now on Amazon, for a limited LP from a small label. Think a lot of those dates are just auto-filled by a deranged robot, with no basis in reality frankly.

This works just fine for me as A) I don't care about silly-colour versions, B) wanna support my local physical stores more, and C) I'm pretty patient! ;)

Many thanks Disco!

I'm also not mega fussed these days about all the different variants, I just wanna hear the music.

I have a strange Spanish comp with a collection of horror themes on it & RB is one I've been playing over and over. I'm quite excited to hear the whole thing :)

Even though the shipping notice came up a bit ago, I just saw movement today on it with the package leaving New Orleans. So it looks like they are on their way!

Is Bull Moose any good? I've seen one in Salem, NH, but I figured it was just a chain like FYE.

Bull Moose is a local chain, closer to (and better than) Newbury Comics than FYE. I think it depends a bit on the specific location as some have better selections than others, but they will order anything and their prices are really good. For new vinyl, their site will tell you what is in stock where (which is very nice) and I think the Portsmouth store has the best used selection.

I was in the Scarborough Store picking up Charles Cohen and Eliane Radigue records, cheaper than Forced Exposure!

I'll have to check them out, thanks! Newbury Comics has been shit, and I'm not getting into Boston as much anymore.

Mine arrived at home today, so I'll find out soon enough when I get home from work what color I received. I told myself I'd only order one copy, but depending on what I get, I may go for another one. I take it the variants (aside from the double sided color one) are available randomly from anywhere, or are all variants only available direct from Waxworks?
