Cheers @hatter. Must just be bad luck. I've had a lot of bad luck with warping to be honest. FW was the 2nd worst I can remember though. Twice!

PCA 2x 7-inch !!
PCA has produced some of the most consistently enjoyable electronic music of the past few years. Right up there with Oneohtrix, M Akers, and Panabrite for me.

I got that Pentagram Home Video vinyl in the mail yesterday, I had never listened to any of their music, total blind buy, and it's really good. A very nice surprise !

Add Jon brooks in his many incarnations to that list, everything from him is A+

@Bezulsqy
Panabrite aka norm chambers has released a shedload of sublime, deep ambient electronica.

R plus 7 by oneohtrix is great!

I also need to check M akers

I keep on returning to pca's black mill tapes volume 3 and 4 and being reenlightened, such a good album.

great call on Brooks. Total oversight on my end. He's a stellar worker.

I concur with Dollarhyde here. I'd recommend Pavilion by Panabrite as an accessible, entry point to his ambient works and Nordsee and/or Contemplating the Observatory as a window into his lesser seen, Boards of Canada inspired side. As for M Akers, check out Elders of New Detroit for some inspired Carpenter worship and his latest, Whitest Hunters Blackest Hearts, for a more hard boiled synth fest. I can barely keep that one out of my tape deck. It is awesome.

Everyday Music in Seattle has tons of Death Waltz stuff! Even a dedicated spot on the wall. I saw stuff from One Way Static, Terror Vision, Waxwork, Roundtable, Intervallo, Schema, Sonor Music etc. Cool store (and gigantic).

I got an OG Alice in Chains self titled for $50, a promo copy of James Brown Payback for $15 and a couple other things. Prices were nice.

Lots of shops in Seattle, went to five or six. Awesome city.

^Nice DW shelf!

Everyday Music in Portland is one of my locals, and is my go-to place for RSD, etc. There are actually three different locations in the Portland metro area. Welcome to the PacNW, @texas! Enjoy your stay in the land of weed and honey.

Those Mondo/DeathWaltz section boards are getting around... have spotted a couple over in the UK too. Looks like a cool store. Not been to Seattle since I was 6 or 7... a long time ago. Time for a return visit obviously! :)

On another DW related note, am noticing it is still pretty exclusively the stuff on the DW label I am picking up with my Mondo orders. The more populist, less left field stuff that comes out on the big 'M' doesn't float my boat in quite the same way. A question of balance I guess... one 'Home Alone' for every stellar 'Black Belly of the Tarantula'

Some would say you're overdue for a visit, Spun. To your second point, I still find that Mondo has a lot to offer me, but I pick and choose a bit more. They release such a wide range of scores, stylistically speaking, that there are plenty I'm just not that into. Still, plenty do appeal. The recent Howard Shore releases and Horner's Wrath of Kahn spring to mind. They also, since the DWRC acquisition/merger thingy, have left a lot of the Italian and horror scores to DWRC which makes perfect sense. I still buy most of what DWRC releases, but I've skipped a few, too. Synchronicity and You're Next for example. Then again, I don't buy every release from any soundtrack/score label anymore; I really do pick and choose.

You betcha, JImmy Mike. Easy Street and Sonic Boom are both good, locally owned, record stores. Well sized, well appointed with plenty of mainstream to indie to esoteric new releases and a decent selection of used. A lot of folks go to Silver Platters for the same type of experience, but I've never spent a lot of time there (not a judgment; I just haven't). Sonic Boom is pretty near the LITA physical shop which is open on weekends and worth a visit if you like their label/distro. Singles Going Steady is another popular one with a lot of used vinyl. They tend to specialize in stuff that I'm not super into so I don't go there as much anymore, but I believe they are well-regarded by folks who do. And then there's Wall of Sound. I love Wall of Sound, but they aren't for everyone. They are small and have strange, avant avantgarde, esoteric records. They love noise, free jazz, and the like. The owner is rad and I've found records in there I haven't seen other places. I've paid for them, mind you, but pretty fairly. Bop Street is an amazing, if not intimidating, store with loads of used stuff. The owner there is a great guy, too. Anyhow, those'd be my suggestions for a visit. I don't live in Seattle and traffic there is truly abysmal (even moreso in the Summer when the weather is nice enough for 'round-the-clock road work) so I frequent these places less than I used to, but if I were making a day of it, these are where I would start. Hopefully, someone else has suggestions as well. I know there are some Washingtonian's lurking in here...

Mateo got most of 'em - I also really enjoy the used records at tiny Jive Time Records in the charming (extremely crowded) Fremont neighborhood. Silver Platters, just south of the sports stadiums, is a bit cold since moving into their new location, but it's huge and well-stocked. They have stores a few miles north (Northgate) and south (Southcenter) of the city, too. Enjoy the Emerald City! (speaking of "emerald", try Ganja Goddess and Cannabis City, and I like the folks at Origins in the south end - get yourself the Leafly app!)
