That's kind of a grail for me, I LOVE that score

I'd be super happy if they released it. :)

It's surprising that Varese seems to be so willing to license stuff out and not just release it themselves.

Podcast Vinyl Emergency did an interview with Kevin: https://twitter.com/VinylEmergency

Confirmation again that Waxwork is releasing Friday the 13th 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8,
Another release is Eyes of your Mother (artwork already teased on Instagram as well),
They are looking into getting the score to Get Out.
Next to the Exorcist they are going to release the scores to William Friedkin's French Connection, Sorcerer and Cruising in the next two years (I am guessing two years is a bit optimistic, but who knows and probably at least one of them will make it into the subscription services of 2018). And probably even more Friedkin related stuff. All with liner notes by him.

Great stuff in there. French Connection is one of the great scores of the 1970s. And I suspect we all love Sorcerer. I can't remember Cruising, but I have a trusted friend who swears by it. I still want to know what that Exorcist tracklist is going to look like.

CRUISING!!!

The score is by Jack Nitzsche, previously unreleased, so I'm hoping that's part of the WW plan :))) He also produced the songs which featured/make up the released OST.

Y'all know how I feels about ma man Jack. It's a fantastic, grimy score, incredible spot-on late-70s New York feel, you need a shower after listening to it. The OST also features a track by Barre Phillips called Three Day Moon, which ma brother Tony G tipped me off to. I'd just assumed it was also Nitzsche.

Can't wait for this, and an expanded Sorcerer!!! ;)

I was talking to Kevin about Sorcerer the other day after listening to that interview. Some super exciting stuff coming down the pipeline, and i'm loving the Friedkin thing happening. Would LOVE to get to live and die in LA too.

PS - Hatter, To Live And Die in LA is a top 20 score in my universe, but they'd need to bring something extra to the table there in order to make it worthwhile. There have been recent reissues of it that sound fine and originals, even those in mint condition, can be found for $15-20.

Bloody Love the film! Every so often I try to make a top ten bad ass 80's movie list in my head, this is always there, near the top.

It's so good, you guys. I have one OG that I spin, one still sealed, and I just picked up a cassette on the cheap because it's nearly summertime so you know that score is going to get played almost nightly.

I hope their "solution" isn't to use DHL to ship outside of the US of A. Recently got dinged an additional $17+ by DHL on a Mondo order of the new Wojciech and Timothy Fife.

Customs charges are a pain...

But still very excited for this one.

They are, though I still don't get why DHL charges an additional fee for what they do, which is essentially nothing extra. I pay for shipping and they bring it to the border at which point Canada Post delivers it to me, and I have to pay $7+ in taxes/duty and $10 for a DHL fee. They don't even pay it upfront for me like UPS does; I still have to go to the post office and pay to get my item.

With the new reduced shipping thingy, I can no longer see my country listed there :(((

And the country list seems shortened!

Is this a glitch?

It has been a bit quiet lately with Waxwork. I guess they had some pressing plant issues that created for some releases to be postponed (Babadook, The Thing second run, ...)
Also their new comic book enterprise has to take a lot of time and energy from them.

Looking forward though to see what is coming next. They do create some awesome packages.

How did the people in EU fare with the new cheaper shipping option? No problems with customs?

The comic is supposed to go on sale tomorrow -- haven't seen them say at what time, but on FB they've been saying July 7.

Evil dead II came through with no extra charges, though with DHL I reckon this won't last. It was the same at the start with Mondo, then came a regular extras bill. Thing is, no pun intended, they farm out final delivery to YODEL who just dump the package where they see fit, rain or shine. With Mondo, I now go with the more "expensive" shipping option, no customs charges, works out cheaper.....Hey ho! But to be fair, at least labels are trying to help.

With regards to Waxwork Comics, it seems the site is now Waxwork Records, and the release of issue 1 is tomorrow. I did think there was going to be a Sub for this.........I wait for further news.
