I've had two mildly hefty packages from Waxwork (Evil Dead II sub with tote bag and Pilotpriest 3LP) with the new cheap shipping option and haven't been charged customs in the UK as they have marked the packages down as worth $10. Mondo packages tend not to have a value on them so I get charged customs about half the time. This should make the DHL option very good for those abroad buying from Waxwork. I guess Mondo don't want to risk putting a low value on their packages in case there are problems with the delivery.

That is good to know!
Mondo used to mark the value down, but stopped doing this when they added the DHL option. At least that is the experience I have had.

I have not. I was wondering the same. I have a really busy day so I wish we knew what time the drop is.

Me neither. My guess is that they'll send us an email 30 minutes before it goes out to the public. Looking back at my email, I got the Evil Dead 2 early bird at 12:11 pm Eastern and the Pilotpriest at 11:30 am Eastern. Hopefully, the comic email will be around the same time.

And don't forget to use your discount code, like I always do!

Nope, went with the $12 option. So far I've not been hit with customs charges from Waxwork on this cheaper option, so until that happens I'm feelin' good.

based on a recent waxwork tweet, I'm thinking we may be getting the score to IT. Given that they already did Salem's Lot, I'd love to get Richard Bellis' score to IT on wax, some really great bits in there. could also be for the upcoming remake, but i'm hoping its the original if anything.

I have no doubt that it's for the original IT. this must be one of the titles that Waxwork teased when they mentionned that they were working on a couple of Stephen King adaptations, and at that time I don't think there had been any teaser/trailer released for the new version of IT. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it's for the original IT with Tim Curry.

I cannot recall the music for the original It miniseries. I must be getting old in my old age.

@Mateo, there are some mournful themes in there that really hit me the right way and definitely capture the feeling. some cheesy early 90's tv synth work too, but most of it is just kind of sad nostalgic horn lines. Intrada did a 2 CD set a few years back, and it seems Warner archive released a truncated CD not to long ago as well. it's a personal favorite for sure.

And getting either Ghoulish Gary or Francovilla to whip something up for that would be fantastic.

I'm going to revisit these tunes, Hatter. I'm sure it'll unlock something in my brain, Dreamcatcher-style, and it'll all come flooding back to me.

Next week Creepshow 2.

Also announced is Friday the 13th: the game.
I don’t want to instigate anything. But I saw a little teaser on Instagram showing off retro Jason busting through a door from the new Friday the 13th: The Game. Can we expect Waxwork releases of the soundtrack anytime soon?
Kevin: Oh we’re doin’ it. It’s going to be this crazy expansive double (maybe even triple) LP thing. I mean the game is so awesome and so much fun to play. And yes, it will be more than just retro Jason’s theme. It’s going to be all the music from the game. I even want to license that Misfits song that plays in the main cabin. We’re pretty tight with Jerry Only, so we just have to reach out at some point.
Funniest bit about that announcment is this tweet and the comments below it:
https://twitter.com/F13thFranchise/stat ... 8545020928
hopefully the soundtrack wont cost $40 and only have 3 maps and 1 game mode and be unplayable until they patch it 2 times
We need boobies in the game
And there is this:
Now that you’re answering my fanboy questions. I gotta ask about composer Douglas Pipes. You’ve re-released both the soundtracks he did for Trick r’ Treat and Krampus, can we expect a Monster House vinyl pressing?
Kevin: Yeah actually, I have the masters right now. It’s now just working out a deal with the studio at this point. But yeah the music is ready to go.

and my comic has shipped as well

I wish Waxwork or someone could release Douglas Pipes' rescore of The Lodger he did for Dallas Video Fest a couple years ago. Who knows if anyone even recorded the performance though. I'd love to hear it again sometime.

Hey, Gang! Anybody have Tales From The Darkside? How's the fidelity? I'm looking for a safe variant to buy. Chin chin.

Hey Mateo, I have the green, Spun it a few weeks back while cleaning the house and it was pretty clean to my ears, but I also seem to almost never have any issues with these pressings and its possible that my ears just aren't picking up what could be a problem for other listeners.

I appreciate that, Hatter. I'll dive on in.

PS - Of course that's the one that's sold out. Anybody else have a blue-in-black or a mummy spice (aka copper/brown)?
